Have you migrated to the new portal? Have you used any app/add-on with the new portal?
Yes, I am on the new portal (s1.iptv66.tv/c/) and am currently using the built in Stalker Client with yahyabell for the guide (which still works fine for me). I disabled Stalker Client while trying to run Potato TV but I'm not sure if more needs to be done (do I need a new mac or just an IPTV reset or something else perhaps?)
I wanted to ask before blindly changing too much so I could fall back on my current setup that still works.
I installed potato TV using my NFPS credentials on a Fire Stick (g2) running 16.1. It worked with some stuttering.
With the recent changes to many of the Exodus/SALTS content providers upgrading to TLS 1.1 I found myself forced to upgrade to Kryptoon (17.1). I find it's working much better on 17.1 than it was on 16.1. Note: I've not set up the EPG yet so I can't comment on that.
If you despise the 17.1 itnerface as much as I do, do the following:
On the kodi home screen go to settings (gear icon at the top), Interface Settings, Select the Skin, Select "Get More", then select Confluence. Now you'll have the upgraded 17.1 and it's TLS support with the look/feel you enjoyed before.
I'm sure the new krypton interface is great for tablets, but if you've got a remote in hand I prefer the old Confluence skin. Plus, I don't feel like starting over in trying to demonstrate to mom how to use kodi

Clear Guide Data
Disable Stalker Client PVR
Enable Simple Client PVR
Install Couch's addon
Enter your credentials
And settings as per 1st post
Clear Cache Thumbs Purge Packages
Power off Device
Go to donation website(nfps rocket or iks) perform an iptv reset
Turn on device
Ensure Couch's addon is working live tv and vod
Click on Settings
VR Simple Client ( this adds the info the the pvr)Clear Cache Thumbs Purge Packages
Reboot Device again
Enable Live tv
and Enjoy

you have to run the IPTV RESET

Hey Couch... great app by the way, since the switch to m3u we were all waiting for something like this.
Ok.. here is my headache...lol. I use the skin Arctic: Zephyr... i love it, can do some pretty sweet customizations and shortcuts to make Kodi alot more managable for the less technical folks, unfortunately my background of choice is white, which doesnt go so well with the silver font thats being used when i open the Potato TV app. I was searching through the .py files in the app hoping to find the setting where i can change that but.. no luck.
I do have another headache with it but thats less trivial and more of a convienience thing. so no biggie. Just that silver font color.

if you're running *nix o/s (osx, linux, android)
you can run following command via terminal:

windows replace text filesin my next release, I will also add a new sub called "COLOR(text, color)"
which can be used to customized the font color, especially for any text variables used by xbmcgui.Dialog()
of course, you have to do it by yourself, I don't want to get the same headache as yours lol

in PVR or video addon ?
in PVR, you have to 2 clicked options:
- "CHANNELS" --> channel view mode
- "GUIDES" --> timeline view mode
in video addon, there is only a "CHANNELS" mode
but I'm sorry it's not available in the lite released version

if you are not sure, always go iptv is always up .... (very rarely does it completely shut down)
No matter what I do. I have reset my mac address and the other option. Double checked my settings in potato tv. I can get vod to work but iptv doesn't. I can get in look at all the channels but when I click on them nothing. It looks like it's gonna load but doesn't. Not sure what else to do.
