POTATO TV (IPTV Stalker addon)

Hey Couch Potato! I have been using Potato TV on Android and everything works fine as per my previous posts. Thanks again! Now, I want to make it work on Apple TV 4. Unfortunately, when I click on any channel (i.e. CNN US HD), it thinks for a few seconds and then gives up. No, error displayed.

The PVR and EPG does not work either but I have not given full effort for it. Once the live channel works through Potato TV addon I will further test PVR and EPG.

for ken no problem here 17 and potato tv and simple client/guide but it was the second day after set up and give up but left all active and did a reset and went for beer's/wine and then next day it all work you go figure
love this hobby

What will the v1.1beta update brings us besides the color epg which is terrific pal!

• coloured EPG
• synchronizing the pvr channel # with the backend/provider
• pulling EPG from backend/provider as an alternative EPG source
• forcing the addon to treat a MAC based account as a DONATION based one (shorting the playlist loading time)

New Features:

• 24/7 services : providing more live channels, grabbed from free-service streaming (requires SportsDevil addon)
• PING! : check status of stalker's portal (ON / OFF) & your IP (valid / blocked), and also the routing time (seconds)
• Account Info: showing important info about your account (Donation, MAC, Portal, Account Type (Donation / MAC based) & Expiry Date

Patches:

• improving the caches system
• fixing the local time detection

sorry mate.. I missed your question yesterday

all kodi addons are based on Python, thus they will support common multi-platform o/s

I had a similar issue like yours when I tried to run my addon on a fresh-installed kodi 17.x
all channels were loaded in pvr playlist, but they couldn't be played when I clicked them

but I got it fixed easily, by deleting all of TV*.db & Epg*.db files in Kodi/userdata/Database/
then all channels in the playlist could be played flawlessly

Did this add-on start throwing a MAC Authentication failed for anyone else over the past couple days? It stopped working for me out of nowhere.

I'm a NFPS customer. I'm guessing they've once again changed things and once again broke it on me.

have not seen this happen on several devices, did you try checking the donation checker to see if the mac listed matches what you are using in potato tv?

any one else having majors issues with couch potato's addon? i have read every post and people ask a question or have issues, and in the next posting everything is fine without any explanation. i ain't a coder. but it seems every two weeks iptv is down for a week. so out of a month i get three weeks of service. 75% uptime for 100% of my money. i know it's not guys working on the issues and solving problems. just venting. every two weeks the bloody thing changes

Power off device and do an iptv reset and wait 15mins this fixes 99.9% of issues

thanks for the reply, but it's the .01% percent that's getting me. i only get 100 channels that i can't get to load. still getting error: authentication failed 'mac' and invalid login. but normal stalker loads i'm guessing most channels except adult.(822 of them).

does it matter what private server i have? i'm currently on p2. i tried doing a custom but that didn't work either.

i'm running kodi 17 on a cheap mxq pro box.

So I'm not the only one who suddenly started receiving MAC authentication failed.

This service is nice... when it works. They really need to start scheduling updates on a quarterly or bi-annual basis. I grow tired of having to jump on the forums and find out what has changed every time I "thought" I was going to sit down to watch TV.

get use to it. two years and i have only gotten two weeks straight of service. lol there's always paying a cable company 400+ $ a month for same services. it's a trade of.

did another reset left it for half an hour and than another reset. load channels. unknown channels.

Thanks for the effort CP, can't get it to work. i have tried every thing from following the directions to the letter to tweaking it a bit myself. no i didn't do the two at the same time. lol, i used scientific method. Gone back to stalker client, it works. even though i lost over a hundred channels over the past week and a half. i've gotten use to VOD being a thing of the past.
