I just reformatted my computer and am using the NFPS client on a clean Kodi install. My problem is with the program description... All the titles are showing and the guide is coloured, but there is no description for any program... What can I do to fix this?

Example: I will see [Ch. Comedy Central] - South Park
but the description box is blank

If you have NFPSF1 in your epg url, replace it with NFPSF3. If you have NFPSF2 in your epg url, replace it with NFPSF4. Things have changed.

Clear data in TV and the Guide, restart and you should be back in business.

I assume you are using the built in Stalker client? I'm using Stalker Client NFPS (0.8.4) and there is no option to change epg url. All I have is: Active portal, MAC address, Time zone, Donation and XMLTV File (which can be set to either 24 or 72 hours)

tried changing XMLTV file to 72 hours but still no programming description

i assume your using the newest nfps version 1.0.1,from epg ninja site.(yes it shows 0.8.4 in stalker configuration, dvbken forgot to change it).
you will have to wait until the epg data auto updates(look in the stalker configuration for the epg cache setting, default is 24 hrs) or...
goto your userdata/addon_data/pvr.stalker nfps folder and delete the epg_cache.xml
then restart kodi, this will force the guide data to download again.

hmm,i checked the 72 hr files and descritpions are there.
is guide preference set to xmltv only?

..disregard that as i dont think thew newest versions have that option?
i dont know as i never used them as i prefer the old way of entering everything manually.

I downloaded the pvr.stalker.nfps 1.01 for Kodi 15 from Epg Ninja's website. All has been working well for about a month. However, like the person above, I noticed a few days ago the Descriptions are now gone.

I tried clearing the cache and reloading the guide, but still, no description.

I see above some people talking about changing a link but I do not see this link in the Stalker client downloaded from EPG NINJA's website.

Am I missing something?

Thanks!

The information offered by the links has changed. That is why I indicated previously...

---------

If you look at page 1 in this thread, you will see the following...

NFPSF1=24 hour, title only. (use this on fire tv stick or other low ram devices)
NFPSF2=24 hour title only offset one hour, for those having issues.
NFPSF3=72 hour with details
NFPSF4=72hour with details offset one hour, for those having issues.

EDIT: I now understand what you are saying. You'd need to use the PVR Stalker Client built into Kodi to enter your own epg url in the configuration settings.

I wonder if the latest PVR Stalker NFPS is using the old urls and thus the lack of description. If that is the case, maybe Psycon or Blackbear can switch the information being accessed by the urls, changing NFPSF3 and NFPSF4 to NFPSF1 and NFPSF2...and visa versa.

Yes, so that seems to be the problem. The PVR Stalker Client available on the EPG.ninja website does not have the correct URLs and they can not be modified.

Psych or Blackbear, any chance you will be making this fix and uploading it? I prefer to keep things as they are without having to manually enter more info which I haven't done before.

Thanks for your help.

nothing has changed that would keep the nfps versions from loading the files.we changed what the files themselves contain only.
same filenames.
so if your using the nfps version that has english and full for epg options(dont think this version is even on the server anymore) then...
english is now 24 hr no descriptions
full is now 72 hr and has descriptions

if you have the newer version that has 24hr and 72hr then its self explainatory.
24 hr is no descriptions
72 hr has descriptions

i have started before i dont use these versions and am not switching to try them.i prefer the manual entry way.they are compiled by dvbken and there's nothing we can do to fix them even if we wanted to as we dont have the source code.

So, it appears for those using PVR NFPS and not getting descriptions, but wanting them...

Set the epg option to Full or 72 hr, depending on the PVR NFPS version, clear the database and restart Kodi.
