Stalker Client PVR Add-on Release Thread

c/p from the other site from dar (that's me!)

The server is having problems connecting with PVR Stalker 0.8. Just as a test, I manually extended the connection timeout to 60 via the settings.xml in userdata > addon_data > pvr.stalker, and was able to get it to connect. The maximum you can change the timeout setting through the setting menu is only 15. If you don't understand what I just did, don't bother asking how to do this.

I enter settings.xml , what i need to change there for it to work ?

Ok so i finally managed to locate the settings.xml however i cant seem to find where the "connection edit" is

Here is what i got:

Guys, thanks to all for the info provided on how to increase the timeout!

I do have another question , channels play for about a minute then stops , is there a way to increase the buffer ? I can play on Stalker app without a hitch.

7 hours of mucking about with everyones suggestion, i just can't get it going, keep getting "cant load channels" or whatever. im exhausted... should it really be this hard...

right now im trying the add on custom 2 version from a few pages back. iv tried editing the connection time out to 70... nothing seems to work.. uninstall / reinstall .. its crazy

what device? android? pc?

it worked fine on my pc... but changing the timeout settings on the mxIII did not work for me for whatever reason.. didnt trouble shoot it too much cause im out for the weekend but will play around with it more when im back home...

Done

fixed obviously cool heads prevail.

this worked for me and i hope it helps someone else.

un-installed whatever you have and install the RC 1 for Android, make sure when settting up the Stalker PVR you use the http:// on both the server address and the guide and boom it worked..

Guys, is this better and more reliable than IPTV Stalker?

Thanks

They are different 'animals'. The PVR Stalker integrates into the LiveTV/PVR function on Kodi, making the channels appear more line what you would expect from a set top box, where you can surf channels, and possibly record programs, along with an EPG. The IPTV Stalker is a video addon, where it produces a list of channels to watch and you select them from a menu. I personally prefer the PVR Stalker with its features, vs. the minimal approach of the IPTV Stalker, but it's inherently less reliable than the IPTV Stalker, but not that significant.

Is this all for naught after July 15, 2015? Does anyone have a definitive SIMPLE answer to this question:

Will KODI users be able to donate and maintain access now that the trial period ends on July 15?

I'm sure many KODI Stalker Client and IPTV Stalker Addon users on Android, PC, Mac and other non MAG style boxes are wondering what LIVETV set up to use if we will not be able to pay for access. I have posed this question elsewhere on the forum but am doing so here in case Stalker Client and IPTV Stalker users like myself are unaware of this approaching Dday. Also this thread seems the second most likely place for someone to have an answer to the question. Thanks folks. Hopefully we can also pay for access. Someone with knowledge of the current plan please clear this up. Thanx a bunch:cool:
