Kizer8, I see the same thing, and there's not too much you can do about it, other than to set up a 'zero cache' and pre-cache programs you watch so you don't get buffering. What's happening is that the stream at the source is not as fast as your client is in syncing audio to video, so that's why the audio is dropping out. It can also be a bug in the beta... you can report the issue to the developers over at kodi.tv for that, or at least try to find a solution there for the stalker pvr addon.

Thx Dara for the reply... Can you please explain a little more about this 'zero cache' and pre-cache programs? What is this and how do I set it up? Also it makes no sense why same streams to NFPS work fine when viewing via stalker video addon 1.0.18.

I don't do this myself, so I'm not sure if it will work for Live TV for the PVR, but it should. There are some other settings that are PVR specific, which increase the amount of forward caching and how much cache is done before the video shows, but try the generic zero cache first. What it does if when you first start a program or movie, and you hit pause, the video will start to save to your memory (hard drive or ram), and after a few minutes, you can start watching the video and get no pauses... as the info is already on your memory.

As far as IPTV Stalker video addon v. PVR Stalker, they are different programs, and the PVR Stalker does a lot more to appear like what you see from a set top box, so you may need more computing power to run it. In general, Kodi PVR clients can be a little tricky to run. Regular video addons are a more direct process than a PVR.

Just posting to say thanks for all the useful tips - especially dara. I successfully loaded pvr stalker on my win 7 htpc and on an Amazon Fire TV Stick. EPG works well on the htpc. As someone stated in a previous post, loading the full EPG can crash Kodi on the fire tv stick. I'm assuming it's due to the limited RAM on the stick. I enabled only one channel group and that portion of the EPG loaded fine, but no dice when loading the EPG with the all channels group. I suppose the solution for me will be to define a custom group so that the EPG doesn't fill up the RAM to much.

i think its jsut a bug in kodi beta 2.. i have had random crashing now and again on all my systems and have to clear my database to fix it. doubt its ram. the EPG is under 20 megs.


U can download my git and modify the scrips so it only grabs 1 day of data to see if that will help..

Thanks for the tip. I did download your EPG scripts yesterday and placed them on my Plex server PC that runs 24/7. I'll read up on how to modify the scripts to pull down only those channels that I need the EPG content for and just for a day or so. Once I get them tuned properly, I'll use the task scheduler on that box to launch it daily.

Not sure what changed, unable to load channels..stalker client failed this is what i get when i start Kodi 14.2.

I have this all installed and working using "Kodi 15.0 “Isengard” Beta2", Stalker Builtin add-on (0.8) with the EPG "http://is.gd/NFPSF" however, all the streams i have tried are using SD. Is there a way to get the streams to use HD?

most channels are sd at this time.... heres a list of channels with resolution

I was hoping to get some help. I am trying to install the PVR android-arm client 0.6, I downloaded it from the Git 0.6 (I am using 14.2 Helix on an Android box)
I installed it from zip - I configured it with the last 3 pieces of my MAC XX:XX:XX, I then added the Server Address (http://1.iptvprivateserver.tv)

I then went into Live TV and enabled it, and , and the only change I made in there was to enable channel order from the backend(s)

I restarted the box, I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the stalker client, - I am always getting Stalker Client - Unable to load channels.

I am not sure what I am missing?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

change the mac to something else and see what happens
