The reason I m asking is no one is updating the channel xmltv list using simple client, been missing epg data for months. I thought creating my on xmltv list( another great adventure) and your m3u channel with another EPG besides simple client would work.

IDK which EPG you are saying has been missing data for months but I just checked yahyabell and it shows current as of today's date. Try using viper's url and clearing data for EPG in Simple Client again. I read a while back that one of the users who was providing guides has quit using the service and is not updating any longer, think it was Pach.

Creating you own guide is not a terribly big adventure. Give it a try and you won't be dependent on anyone.

i am new to topic, I did not read all 59 pages
I am using Potato tV video addon with Kodi17
excellent add on, with onky one issue- I do not see EPG. When I click on guide I receive message ' PVR client has not been enabled yet'.
let me know if you can help, thank you

i've been banging my head against the wall for weeks now(since i cried in another thread a few weeks ago!) & can't get any of this to work. i set up 'stalker-client with no issues & complete with color guide.. i can't get 'simple-client to do anything but time out & shut down. i have you repository addy loaded to it, but can't get 'potato tv to properly load, or load channels & guide. stalker client doesn't offer the vod channels. please help!! thank you for the work u've put into all this.. runnin the kodi 'jarvis 16, on a MAX 4K Tv box. also runnin mac & donation setup...

yes, i did that with no luck. the issue is that the connection times out with the 'simple client, & is not configurable like the stalker client is. my problem is access to vod. tks...

I've been using this add-on since it's first release and it has been working wonderfully for me.

I do however struggle with the EPG. What is the latest source / add on recommendation for a fully working guide?

all that info is available in this 'potato tv thread. just scroll back near the begining(with xtreme) guide for us channels workin ok... don't think the 'pyscon stuff is still working..

How is everyones EPG working today on Potato?

Mine is not showing up...tried all 3 options...with the usual drill of clearing data and restart. No luck.

Is there some standard troubleshooting to be done when this happens? If so, what?

Go to setting ptotato tv
then PVR Client select PACH for EPG source,
Under all that You see Server: STOP I selected that waited till it says stopped in bottom corner of screen
Then I select Server: START I selected that wait till it says server started
Go down and and select OK to save
Now in Potato tv app select Cache clear to generate new Token
Now in Potato yv app select PVR cleient select no
now in Kodi go to PVR&Live TV Clear your Data select yes channels will reload
I completely shut down kodi and restart and epg appears

In potato tv app under caches it says PVR Client click on that a preset Keymap box pops up select No ,,
now in Kodi go to PVR&Live TV Clear your Data select yes channels will reload

Thanks for the explanation....after following your latest clarification my epg is back....guess this is some sort of way to reset Potato...exactly what I was looking for.

Does anyone know what is the difference between Pach and Viper epgs? Im on Pach now and missing epg for the uk channels...
