service is pretty stable as far as I been noting.
Thnx for the comments aztheroth, but this is the channel discussion thread and not a server stability discussion

me thinks you misunderstand, no one said this is more stable than IKS, I believe they said it wasn't subject to ECM's and that's a true stmt. The reason being the card is not in the rec for iks and can be identified. This is not so for IPTV, the card stays in the slave unit. That being said, the seeders have a much greater outlay of expense, internet speed and bandwidth, the number of slaves to accomidate all the requests, etc. So I ask for your patience and understanding of how the system works if you don't mind, thks......

IKS does not require the type of internet that iptv does so your internet speed and capacity will say if your are stable or not. BTW there is already a free trial going on.

I said that's nice to have lots of channels but I think everybody expect the same. Stability. I know is on testing and these freezing are expected... BUT... this was said to be more stable than IKS... so if we are going to pay, I think people want something stable... can someone here say that they would pay for an unstable service? If someone does is a lie. We expect, at least, more stability than IKS. Again, I appreciate the hard work. My good advice is that... when everything is done, give people a one or 2 month trial to see how it goes... not demanding anything here... just recommending.

I am assuming that by "stability" you mean lack of freezing? I couldn't agree more ! This has been brought up many times and the standard reply is that they are in testing mode. That is really a poor answer, it seems like the subject is being totally avoided. IF, in addition to being in testing mode, it was added that the freezing will be addressed, or is being looked into, or ANY statement other than the standard "test mode" reply, that would at least enlighten us a bit. It is also worth noting that any comments on quality of service appear to be most unwelcome. It appears, at least to me, that the more popular a channel is, the more likey it is to have freezing. I do not take comfort in there being maybe 300 channels that do not freeze, they are mostly languages I do not speak. Note, I have tested at 35 mb/s speed with my mag254

Personally, I usually go to CH205 / Fox news a few times a day just to see what is going on in the world. CH205 has had such heavy freezing for the last few weeks that it is unusable. I was tempted to post a report but experience has shown that it would fall on deaf ears.

Bottom line..... during this "test mode", the number of channels/movies increases nearly daily but the quality of service has been on a slow decline over several weeks. WIll the quality of service greatly improve? They are not saying, we are left to draw our own conclusions for now.

Opps..... after posting I see that crazed has said this is not a server stabilty discussion....... Sorry, for the misplaced post....... Crazed comment was not there when I started typing.

I don't put too much stock on the current questions about our free testing period, behind the scenes there are a lot of technical procedures and testing that will make the service better. The channels list will be reviewed and no matter how big it is there will be people that will complaint but at the end they will get a better service and more bang to their buck that if they went anywhere else. IPTV has a whole is progressing with technology and there are to many variables (bandwith, devices hardware)that affect the current overall quality.

200 CNN is working fine, not freezing,

My observation is UK channels are very stable USA not as good i.e. check CNN time stamp and it is often 15min behind, it does get normalised at some point and starts even time stamp again, other news channels are usualy on time, was checking DIY yesterday and it was about eight min behind the sat version is because with any freeze no content is lost.
Think this iptv thing is a lot harder to implement than I thought when it was first announced, still happy with what is on especially when MUTV can stop freezing.

I am assuming ones the free trial is over Sparky_SC; you wont see the lack of freezing or stability. The HD switch should kick in right after with added PPv EVENTS, MLB, NBA,NHL, NFL packages all included. MSNBC, bloomberg, YES NETWORK, SYN.

Freezing with IPTV and not loosing any content is a BIG step ahead of IKS. Nothing makes you want to scream more than watching some show on IKS and having it freeze at the worst possible times, missing some key words.

I have read many posts about time shifts which don't seem like a big deal to me. The quoted post tought me something new however, with no content lost during freezing, the time delay is a measure of the amount of the freezing over a peroid of time. Each freeze sets the clock back so to speak.

Hi All,
New to this forum as I just set up a Kodi on a RaspberryPi
Are there any major network feeds from the NewEngland area?
ABC, CBS & FOX ?
I'm a transplant from Boston and would like to keep up with the local sports teams.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks
