IPTV Stalker video add-on - all platforms

Thanks for your response, appreciate it. I will look into you what you mentioned and hopefully can find a way to do it as honestly its driving me crazy lol. I did actually see something earlier on youtube that I thought might work, unfortunately this all goes a bit over my head with being new to it all this but it seems possible it would work. I would appreciate feedback from yourself or anyone on the forum that would know better than myself on whether what this person did in the video would work for me! The youtube video is -
Code:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZKIVOXCOKU
It seems that he basically types in the url on the firetv
Code:
http://tecbox.tv/repo/install
which then loads a zip file on the device from that, he then setups and installs ivue/iptv stalker from that. Sorry if this sound stupid as like I said this is all new to me but if this video procedure is correct, then essentially I could perhaps delete iptv stalker and ivue. Then follow exactly what he did in the video so that would basically install iptv stalker (which seems to be the correct one according to the video) and ivue? I will be honest, I have no idea how this would work (especially as I thought I would have had to connect a computer or something) but I thought this looked like it might work. Feel free to give you my feedback as I am concerned about deleting anything or messing anything up on the fire stick so would rather get feedback on if this might work!

Also Dara mentioned before that I should turn off auto update in kodi, I just tried to do this but it seems the directions posted aren't correct. I have searched high and low and I really can't see a way to turn off the auto update in kodi on the fire stick. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
That's no problem. I intend replying to your post but first I'd advise you to edit your post & code any links to external sites (I've done this in your post above), as not doing so is a no no as per forum rules.

The easiest way to do this is, when replying to or creating a new post to choose 'Go Advanced' from the bottom of the reply box. Then go up to the top of the editor & click the # symbol & paste the url in between the two '[c0de] [/c0de]'s if that makes sense. [c0de] paste the url here [/c0de] I had to use a zero instead of an o as I wasn't entering a url.

I'd be reluctant to give you any advice on the firestick as I don't have one & amn't at all familiar with procedures, so anything I said would just be a pure guess & of absolutely no help to you I'm afraid, so you'd be better taking advice from Alucard.

You may be better off trying to get the correct version of the Stalker add-on up & running before you start messing about with iVue. One thing at a time!!

With regard to disabling auto updates have a look at this video:
Code:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0b4cBN--q8

and see if that works for you.

I think I must have got the wrong end of the stick judging by your response. I thought in the video, what he does is install ivue and iptv stalker? That is why I was wondering if I followed what he did that this would be the best and easiest way of installing the correct version of stalker.
Again sorry if got wrong end of the stick, its all new to me so not going to lie my knowledge of this subject is struggling.

The problem with that video is it was made in June when the Stalker Add-On was free, but now that it's donation based that method won't work, as MAC address would have to be integrated into the IVue add-on. AFAIK the iVue dev (who posts on this site) is working on some sort of a fix for this but to be honest if I were you I'd be looking at using the PVR Stalker Client together with the live TV feature of Kodi, at least for the moment. But to start off you should concentrate on getting the IPTV Stalker Add-On to work (by installing the correct version) before you start worrying about an EPG. At least that way you'll be able to watch the channels.

What version of the PVR Stalker Client is installed on your stick? If it's v0.8.3 that should now work with the EPG/Live TV feature on Kodi, so you could try that using the instructions here That way you wouldn't have to worry about having the correct version of the Stalker Add-on at all - in fact you could disable it altogether.

I have no idea what pvr stalker is tbh. How would I check what version I have (assuming I have it)?

Update - looked around in system settings add ons and there is a pvr option under enabled add on's. It doesn't say pvr stalker but says pvr iptv simple client. Not sure if this is what you were referring too or if it's something completely different.

To find out what version of PVR stalker you have go to System -> Addons -> My Addons -> PVR Clients. Look for Stalker Client & just click it or press enter or whatever you need to do with your particular remote. You'll find out what version you have & then just exit out of it.

Hopefully it's v0.8.3. Go to where you found Simple PVR Client & disable it. Then follow these instructions:

http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?...-for-paid-access&p=51883&viewfull=1#post51883

That will give you a live tv tab on your home screen with full EPG which is linked to your MAC address allowing you to watch the tv channels by choosing from the guide/channel list.

It's genuinely the easiest way to achieve what you want to achieve, & is easier to set up than the Simple PVR Client. Disable that now.

Don't overthink it, just do it - you won't mess up your set-up, you can change/disable/uninstall anything that you do with this. Just follow the instructions carefully & everything will be fine.

I have looked in pvr clients but there is nothing name stalker, the only thing even close is that simple pvr client.

Ok this is getting weird, looked into this more and apparently seems the pvr client is in the newer kodi 15.1. I finally found information earlier on how install things onto the fire stick (seems it using adbfire), I installed this on my mac and tried installing kodi 15.1 after downloading the file. I connected my ip an it says connected and then I selected the apk and sent the file to the fire stick. All seemed and look good, the bar was moving like it was installing. But....then it just get to the end of looking like its finished installing and then the bar starts over again and does the same thing. This keeps repeating the same process over and over again....no idea why! Now for the real weird part, well it seems weird to me but might make sense to other I guess. I watched a youtube video on updating to kodi 15.1 and it says to go into the setting on the fire stick and check the installed applications for kodi.....well there is none!! There is no kodi in there at all, this makes no sense at all as clearly I do have kodi! Now the one thing I did notice is in there is "ikonotv", I do always have to click on this in the main amazon menu to load up on kodi normally. So I dunno if that explains this but then surely shouldn't kodi be listed in there! Anyway I really need this guidance on this one from anyone as this is incredible odd to me. Thanks

when using adb fire when the apk is install a little box will pop up telling you it's done. the easiest way for me to get my firestick running 100% i set up kodi on my pc tweak to the way i like it to be then i make a folder and call it what ever you want then you go in user/name/appdata/roaming/kodi then select all the folders there except the kodi program copy to the folder you created once it's done while in adbfire select restore and point it to the folder you created
once it's done a window will pop up again telling you it's done by the way when you install the apk you need to connect it to the tv start kodi let it run for a few minutes once it finish loading disconnect it, go back to adbfire then do the restore as i mention earlier.hope this helps out

Please keep the discussion to the IPTV Stalker. If you want to discuss the PVR Stalker, find an appropriate thread, or start a new one in the new PVR Clients forum in the Kodi Discussion.

Thought post an update,

Received a kind email which providing a lot of help in regards to my original issue regarding having the dodgy version of stalker 1.2.0 on my fire stick, I have now took the plunge removed it and installed the correct version - 1.0.18 (after finding how to side load files onto the fire stick) and thankfully its working correctly!

Now the annoying part, seems that even thou I have spent days of effort trying to get this correct version sorted because everyone had advised me that was the issues with iptv stalker giving me auth error issues on most channels in ivue. That this isn't actually the real issue, now don't me wrong there is an improvement since I have installed 1.0.18 as a lot of channels do work now or atleast after the 2nd attempt of trying to go into the channels. That said there is still a lot of channels that flat out don't work and give me the normal auth error message, so surely this must be an issue between iptv stalker and ivue? As there is no reason at all for me to have these "authorisation error" issues now.

thanks for the info dara but i've notice that the issue is more coming from ivue example i can play stars east with not problem go to ivue choose stream do preview it plays fine then do save then go back to ivue click on it and gives the error.
this is not a question just my observation that iptv stalker doesn't seem to be 98% of the problem to ivue

"preview stream" doesn't save your selection. "Save" does.

I have a working setup of iptv simple client and iptv video stalker addon on kodi/windows but have a intermittent issue.
I've narrowed it down to the m3u server of the stalker addon because if i stop and restart it everything starts working again.
Has anyone else seen a similar problems and know of a way to stabilise the m3u component.
Any thoughts?
Ps new to kodi but loving it so far.
