Rocket What Can Rocket Provide On IPTV?

Help for Rocket IPTV Server.
bobmofo1 - I am testing with an aVoV box on a 1.5mb download bandwidth DSL connection. If I had to guess, I'd qualify the picture quality of the HD version movies at 720p. It takes about 5 seconds to spool up and begin playing. I have been pleased so far with the VOD and can't wait to see the IPTV product.

Cool, this should be fun to play around with. I have a mag254 on its way.

Arrived today. Played a few VOD streams, and...it worked. I'd put video quality on a par with a standard SD xvid scene release, and audio ...not so great, sounded over-compressed even on my built in TV speakers--like it was encoded in 64kbps mp3 or something.

Still fun to play with and test out.

Hi Folks, I'm new here. Just wondering whether plans are still to implement bev into iptv. Also, I'm not completely sure on how it will work. After getting a box for IPTV, do we need to subscribe to either rocket or NFPS or will there be other options?
Will hockeystreams be a possibility as far as apps go?
Unlimited bandwidth may be a problem for me, going to have to do some research as to which companies, if any, provide it.

These are early days, tomorrows will answer your questions about channels. It's too early to tell right now.

As far as subscribing, yes. The free server will not last forever. When the multitudes connecting to the server give enough info to do tweaks more channels will be added. After the server is stable the trial will end and will not be free anymore. Check out the announcements section for related posts, and stay tuned there for future updates

Is there rocket for xbmc. I have xbmc on my windows 7 but i am not getting any live channels. Is there a way to get live channesl on it. thanks

No, there is not an app that I know of on xbmc/kodi to emulate a mag25x. There are ways to get it on a pc but you need to install an android emulator like bluestacks and then an emulator like vasilchmax to get iptv.

You're welcome vashira.

FTA and IPTV have little in common except provider and channels. I think you added while I was typing last time or I browsed over the bandwidth. Unlimited bandwidth may not exist IMHO. You'll need a download rate of at least 1.5-3 and your usage needs will vary by how much and what you watch. Obviously if you can get faster internet or more of a data limit it will help.

Hi guys. I was hoping for your opinions. I checked with my current ISP and I get the following:
Up to 25 Mbps download speed
250 GB monthly transfer limit

I probably watch no more than 8 hrs tv per day

Does this appear like it should be enough for IPTV or do you think it's iffy?

Thank you so much for your thoughts!
