So it seems that my reloadable card from Walmart is going to get declined by Papiao because it won't work outside of the USA. Conveniently, they won't allow you to purchase any of the other reloadable cards, either...
So after hitting a few convenience stores and a Rite-Aid pharmacy, I see that they sell prepaid GreenDot Visa And MasterCard debit cards that charge a 3% fee for foreign transactions, but what concerns me is the fact that it says "anywhere in the world where they take Visa (or MasterCard) Debit." Does this mean that it will be declined if it can't be rung up as credit? I thought that was the whole purpose of having a Visa or MC logo to begin with. Can anyone confirm whether or not this will work?
