The Voices

I gotta first off quote one movie buff here,
'This is a seriously dark and disturbing movie which delves into the mind of a deranged serial killer' .... I gotta agree with that.
It's billed partially as a Comedy, but believe me it's not a comedy. Reynolds can make any character seem comical, but this character ain't that. He is a psychotic killer.
Jerry's got issues... and his evil talking cat Mr. Whiskers, doesn't help. The dog Bosco, is not evil at all... but he talks too.
lol, I don't purposely want to make it seem like some crazy horrific film.
The character and his 'voices' could actually be how someone with this kind of mental illness maybe sees the world.

I will not watch it again, but I will not rate it too low either.
That's gotta be hard to write and direct and get believable.
3 thumbs up outta 5

Yeah, this is indeed a very dark movie exploring some very dark issues that sadly are indeed very realistic. I wouldn't call it a comedy either, I would call it a dark thriller with comedic moments. In the beginning I thought there were some pretty funny parts, especially with the cat and dog. But the more the movie progressed the darker it got. I thought it was a very good movie and very realistic.
