Stalker Client NFPS Release Thread

Hi dvdKen,

Today I just installed openelec 6 on a raspberry pi2. Installed the client 0.84 downloaded from your link in the first post. I configured the mac address settings and the donation #, changed the mac address on the papaio page, tried with the 3 portals, anything seems to work.

I only get stalker nfps failed to load, followed by a lost connection.

BTW after the mac authentication was implemented, the only way I made it work on openelec (raspberry) was with the iptv stalker client

Just downloaded the new NFPS PVR... First I get authorization failed - retrying... and then I get "Device conflict - Device id_mismatch."

I'm on a fresh MAC, and I followed the instructions correctly. What's wrong? Do I have to change the settings on the 9.0.21 video addon? Serial, device id, signature....?

Running Kodi 15.2 on Windows 7.

Thanks!!!

This client is meant to be used as your sole access to the servers, as it generates its own internal serial number, which means you can't use your MAC with any other client. Similarly, you can't use a MAC that has been used with any other client (including IPTV Stalker) which had already sent over serial number information, even if you don't 'customize' the serial number, by just enabling the 'Send Serial Number.'

If you want to use both IPTV Stalker and a version of the PVR Stalker Client, you should use the regular full version, that is already included in Kodi 15, and duplicate the serial number configuration.

Thanks for your response dara. I'm not sure I fully understand though, if this PVR doesn't work with IPTV Stalker, then what is it for?! I had the previous version when it was working and it worked perfectly with IPTV Stalker, are you saying this is no longer possible? Sorry if I completely misunderstood your post, I'm not perfectly fluent in English you might need to ELI5 :\

As using the full version goes, I already have it configured correctly, but for some reason, I always have problems with it and it's very random. Like it works perfectly one day, then next day no colours at all, then next day no programming info on a few channels, then next day 400 channels are missing, etc. It's very annoying, so I just stopped using the service altogether and was looking forward to this new PVR release, which always worked flawlessly for me in the past.

So we stay on topic to the this version, please get help for the full version in an appropriate thread. Your issues with the guide may be temporary, that may be due to the guide itself. The epg.ninja is constantly a 'work-in-progress', and you would have the same issues with this version as well.

The previous version did not work, as it didn't send a serial number, which is now required. As far as IPTV Stalker, and this version of the PVR Stalker NFPS, there is no way to duplicate the serial number, so you'll have to make a choice on what works best for you.

Ok, thanks for the info dara. But I'm very curious, what is the purpose of this version? I thought the whole point of any PVR was to provide a Guide for IPTV Stalker? What use can I give to this addon?

@dvbken is there any difference between this version and regular one included in kodi isengard except simplicity when setting up?

As I'm one of those who got unable to load dll on Android

@dvbken thanks, I thought perhaps this modified version has PVR recording working or some optimizations if it's only simplified setup than I'm golden, as built-in PVR Stalker is running without problems

The purpose was to simplify setup for the PVR Stalker, as well as provide a 'branded' PVR Stalker. All you need is your linked MAC and your Donation number. As far as the purpose of the PVRs is to make the experience as close to a set-top-box, but you do have the benefit of the built in guide.

wait so does it work with IPTV Stalker or no. I'm very confused right now lmao

You're mixing things up, IPTV Stalker is Video Add-on as is Genesis, Phoenix and so on...

this is modified version of PVR Stalker (PVR as using Live TV option in Kodi)

You don't need PVR Stalker to run IPTV Stalker and vice versa they are two completely different concepts doing same thing only PVR Stalker does it better (but doesn't have VOD) but I prefer PVR Stalker

I think you may be overthinking things a bit & as a result got a bit muddled up. You need to regard the IPTV Stalker Video Addon & the PVR Stalker Client as two entirely separate ways of viewing IPTV. The PVR Stalker Client NFPS is a more customised version of the PVR Stalker Client that's pre-installed in Kodi, but works in the same way & was designed with the end user in mind so as they would have less information to enter resulting in it being easier to get up & running.

The IPTV Stalker Video Addon has no guide. It just doesn't. To overcome this some people use an alternative third party addon such as iVue which can be configured to use the IPTV Stalker Video Addon. Some people are happy to have no guide & just use the IPTV Stalker Video Addon to view live tv

The Stalker PVR Client (& the PVR Stalker Client NFPS) is an entirely different program. It's used in conjunction with the Kodi built in Live TV feature & doesn't use the IPTV Stalker Video Addon to access live tv.

When using the PVR Client/Kodi Live TV feature combo, you have no need to use the IPTV Stalker Video Addon at all, or to have it enabled or even installed, but some people do for one reason or another.

It is possible to have both (IPTV Stalker Video Addon AND Stalker PVR Client/Kodi built in Live TV feature) installed & to use both (obviously not at the same time), but if you want to use both you can't use PVR Stalker Client NFPS - you have to use PVR Stalker Client. The reasons for this are technical ones & have been explained in dara's previous posts.

OMG my life is a lie LMAO. Always thought for sure that IPTV Stalker was necessary, and that any PVR client just enabled IPTV Stalker to have a guide! You made it very clear for me thanks!! I just disabled IPTV Stalker, changed my MAC, and got the NFPS Stalker Client working... But I have one question, is it normal that it didn't load any pre-recorded content (i.e. PPVs. and 24/7 TV Series)? I remember on the previous NFPS PVR client version I could watch PPVs through guide, is it no longer possible?

Thanks again!

When new PPVs are added (or any channel), the Clairvoyance team still has to add those to the grab. The Grid guide will skip channels that don't have data, so that's why you won't see them. Sometimes the script doesn't pick up those channels info. With the PPV's, the descriptions are pulled into a created program attached to a "dummy channel". This is far too much detail, but essentially if something isn't quite right with the script, the program info may not make it to the guide.

I'm glad @unheeding got the Stalker up, and sorry about the confusion with IPTV Stalker.

With so much information flying around it's easy to get confused!

Dara has answered your PPV question in the post above.
