Rocket New Papiao Assignments Mac Address

Help for Rocket IPTV Server.
I think I misspoke. I think it means that when you first assign a donation, it doesn't need the MAC because it would be up to the user to set it. Are you talking about the reseller panel?

Yes, I think your right. My friend used one of his donations to try it out and as long as they have the mac info, he didn't need to input it. I think he can use it on any one of his boxes and they will accept it.

you will need a mac address at some point in that box..

agree BUT...it would make practical sense to only having to use ONE mac for (in our case) all 3 streamers...saves from having to always change macs when streaming on different boxes...so, one donation can be used but a hassle to then change mac addies every time you switch boxes to stream on...one donation one mac addy and use for all boxes (devices at home), regardless of brand or s/w used... one connection at a time of course..but its all a pipe dream at this point, to be sure they are prob looking at it?

Hi

The new Papiao assignation page says Mac address optional. Is that true?

When I got my AVOV Vixo 2 connected via rocket, I didn't do anything, the box simply connected and the first 6 digits of the mac address were changed automatically and I never changed or did any mac address changes since. So when it says its optional, it really is "optional" but I didn't bother and it works just fine when the server is up and allowing connections to be made to it.

Each rocket or donation allows one IPTV box and one IKS box to connect to the server. If a box has a mac address with 0A:1B:2C:3D:4E:5C
and you don't change anything when you make your donation, then the mac address will change automatically with ........00:00:00:3D:4E:5C

This didn't really change the embedded or the original mac address in the box as the change was made at the server log on which is still tied or linked to your box. Its done as a preventative safety measure so the actual mac addresses are not exposed. As for the rest, everything is subject to change so enjoy the ride forever long it lasts.
