it was because the word 'sucks' was used in the thread title description, pretty sure was the reason

I think that is a very good adjective to describe the freezing and looping. But no that wasn't the reason. The mod said that i made a threat by saying I was looking at alternatives. Regardless, the freezing and kicking back to the guide was awful yesterday. Is there any sort of ETA on a resolution for this?

If their is nothing going to be done about it.
Shouldn't they eliminate the Ch 9000's altogether?
Been a few months now since they interduced these HD channels.
Looks like their is a lack of communication going on with this thing.
If the willingness to have HD in the first place. Shouldn't their be the capacity to run the HD properly?

Try watching a HD channel for more than 5 minutes. It is constantly pixelated, and every few minutes kicks you back to the guide. The issue has been going on for several months and there are numerous posts about it. I was watching a sporting event yesterday and it kicked me back to the guide every 4-5 minutes. I've tried to watch AMC on Sunday at 5:00AM EST and it was doing the same thing. There is a problem and it doesn't seem like it is being addressed. Maybe it is and I'm not aware of it, but this has been going on for months without any improvement.

I am not disagreeing with you.
Although not all HD channels are doing this, some are okay and have improved.

And this has been reported to service administration (again).
Maybe we can get an update on what to expect, but do not hold your breath on that.

My recommendation was to have all HD streams 720 instead of 1080.
A check of many Remote streams from the big broadcasters (PBS/ CBS News/ C-Span etc.) are all 720.
A check of 2 other IPTV Services show "All" HD labeled streams as being 720.

I know they can disseminate 1080 without errors as they had 2 days error free on the channels I watched.
*Note: I was using a properly set up Platform that is of the higher end with respect to resources (6 processors / 4 Gig Ram / android 7 & able to Enable Hdwr. Decoding)
(Lesser STB's would have problems)

Just a FYI

I thought the same thing originally so I purchased a I7 PC with 16gb for my MCP to run kodi and this is the machine that I use on a day to day basis. The freezing and kicking back to the guide is definitely not from HW limitations. I agree, with you Ken, if 720 will resolve the freezing and kicking back to the guide, then 720 is fine by me.

Using Portal 3 on NFPS
No EPG data for NBCSN HD, Animal Planet HD, WGN America HD, and Crime and Investigation HD, Viceland HD, Sundance HD, MSG SD, and Discovery Channel SD.
Still getting an occasional video glitch (some sort of picture shift) which clears after a few seconds, but repeats often. This
only happens intermittently on a few channels. For me, I have not had channels cutting out, freezing, or looping on a global basis with
the HD channels. I think that these described problems are unique to the specific channel itself. Instead of posting that all
HD channels are having problems, focus in and post on the SPECIFIC channel, and see if the channel gets resolved..

I can see that Bein Sports US, US HD, Espannol and Espannol HD Channels are out of the grid and I understand that it is because DirecTV refused to re-negotiate with Bein Sports and took it out of their available channels.

May I recommend to look for another provider (besides DirecTV) to get the Spanish La Liga Matches. I see that F1 Latinoamerica and F1 Latinoamerica HD feeds come from Movistar F1 Channel from Spain.

Please tell the administrators that they can also get the feed from Movistar La Liga Channel to offer the Spanish La Liga Matches.

Hope this helps to get back our beloved Spanish La Liga Matches.
