I've been with this service from the beginning and after they took away all the HD channels last month (or was it in May?) I knew my time to renew for another year was coming up in July, so I just found another service.
..
These other guys even have the most COMPLETE EPGs provided by the service and one is only $70 a year.

Like you I've been with NFPS for a long time (since the free stalker service, 2014 maybe?) and have gone through the ups and downs with the service. Just six months or so ago it was nearly perfect and I was recommending it to others. Understanding the nature of this type of IPTV, I have long had backup service for those times when the one #$%& channel with the one show I wanted to watch was the only one that went down.
IOW, we should always have one or two other services. In recent months, however, I've found myself watching the backups more than NFPS and started looking for a replacement just as did you.
I've done trials with five other services recently and, along with my two regular "backups", I must say that none of them have perfect EPGs. There are always some listings that are way off and a few missing altogether. This is not a serious problem if we are willing to pull our own EPGs, of course. Like you I have long done my own (SD/mc2xml), so after spending a few minutes to download and edit the m3u file, it's only a matter of a few minutes more to edit my .ren files for the new service. I'll spend more time setting up my groups than on the EPG.
It seems that we are chasing a moving target when looking for quality IPTV service as many are good for a while then begin to degrade as they oversell their server capacity. Overall, I'd have to say that NFPS has done better than most and who knows, perhaps they'll rebound before my subs expires. The journey continues.
