anything from any channel, say if I am watching football the guide shows the yellow button as download, but when I click the yellow button it does not do anything and I have a usb drive plugged in

Is there something on the USB that you are trying too download ?... Like an mu3 playlist file ?

Is it iptv66 service you have ?
Is this with live channels?

What receiver ?

Simply from iptv server and live channels to a USB drive, is not possible.
