“IPTV Stalker” is updated, but ...

There might be an on-going solution for those who still want to use iVue... set up PVR Stalker, and use the Favourites as you did with IPTV Stalker to link individual channels. I just tried it, and it worked. So, my theory of someone updating IPTV Staker just to save its connection to iVue or another epg add-on is degraded. I can see using iVue as an option to the built in PVR guide, but it's probably too much much work.

I've got it working perfectly using your suggestion Dara so really appreciate the help.

I only use about 50 entertainment and sport channels on my Guide so not too much work setting it up but if you're using all 900+ channels, then yes it's a lot of work.

I have tried everything and nothing is working! Also if you are now to disable Stalker how do you get to NFPS??

purchase a MAG 254 or AVOV box if you are unable to configure kodi.. IPTV stalker was made by a 3rd party who seems to have dissapeared. if you want to ensure compatibility use the device the service was intended for.. you could also try STB emulator.

I had trouble getting pvr stalker to work so just broke down and bought a Mag254...I am more than pleased..I would highly recommend it....most of my complaints about freezing and picture quality have all but disappeared since I started using the mag, also its not that big a deal switching from hdmi1 to hdmi2 on the tv when i want to watch live tv vs using kodi or addon on my beelinkR89 like i thought it would...did have to add an ethernet switch as I was out of unused ethernet ports..no big deal either..$9 from eba..

I tried both iptv stalker and stb emulator. The emulator is fairly easy to set up but it's better just to bite the bullet and buy a mag or avov and use the android box for what it's intended for at this point. Hopefully the stb emulator can be improved since I don't think that the stalker will support the new security measures being implemented. Time will tell...

If you can use a newer version of Kodi, you will be ok with pvr.stalker.nfps or the built in pvr.stalker. It's your choice to go the 'box' route, they are easier, but easier also means less flexibility.

for me im not falling into that trap...its like, im thinking the other day, why should i rush out and dump another 100.00 - 200.00 on a box just so i cAN STREAM live TV?? hell NO, ill wait it out until i see the bugs worked out and rely on KODI ...heck this brings back memories of back in iks days when a brand IRD box would go down and everyone rushing out in panick mode to buy another IRD like, every silly damned year..lol ...this is easier its IPTV many ways to work the system...just my humble opinion...though it might be smilie days for those brands with this like mag for this transition with a server..maybe nfps brass gets kick backs?? backdoor deaLS!!haha too funny

I held off buying a mag for 5 months, after using a raspberry pi 2 for iptv.
Bought a mag yesterday from a local authorized dealer
I actually prefer the mag over using kodi for my iptv needs

Maybe it's my ISP or setup but I tried the different emulators for over a week to see if it was worth buying some for friends. None of them were as smooth as the mag or avov. I sold my Avov as I found the mag better and my Android box does what the Avov could 'mickeyhop wise'.
I'm really hoping the new password implementation improves the service to the point that I can recommend it to friends who have an android box.

Looks like another false prophet.....CLONES still working fine ON THE STALKER VIDEO ADD-ON and more .

What a surprise...and before you mention cache?..............its a fresh load today Feb 1 testing .

The February 1 date shouldn't be considered a deadline/drop dead. It could be today, or a week or more. However, by now since the announcement was made a while ago, you all should be ready to enter your donation/rocket/route number when it is required. At this point the only method that isn't going to work will be IPTV Stalker; the PVRs, STB Emulators and the boxes all should be ready to go when the authentication is turned on.

Hello.

In order to improve the service security and stability we will implement the username and password authentication starting onFebruary 1st, the username and password will be the donation number tied to your MAC Address, this information was provided in your order details. In case you don't know your username or password please get in contact with your provider to avoid loss of service.
Those who purchased directly from us can find their username and password using the following form:

https://papiao.is/main/order/

A new version of the STB Emulator and PVR Stalker (KODI Addon) will be released very soon to ensure full compatibility, is highly recommended to update to the latest version once it's available and always use our custom version of both applications.

The IPTV Stalker (KODI Addon) won't be supported anymore, unless its creator makes the necessary fixes to be compatible with our system.

Hope you understand the objetive of this security measure and we apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause to you.

Best regards,
NFPS Staff.

Thanks for the clarification.....But in all honesty........
Looks like the clone stalker add-on are here to stay for a VERY LONG TIME. unfortunately.

I will however ..reserve further judgements until after the February 1 ..as they may actually implement the change during the said day.

All the clones do is take a MAC or group of MACs and bounce it against the stalker middleware. It worked for the most part as IPTV Stalker gave what the server wanted, and maybe there was a glitch that allowed some macs that weren't even associated with a donation to work. Adding the password makes that a lot harder to do, and none of the clones have that capability. I'll never say never, but those guys have a better chance of taking streams and creating add-ons based on those, than guessing on how to crack NFPS.

Dara, since IPTV Stalker addon will not work with the new system (Stalker Client NPFS etc.which needs v14.x and higher) to be implemented today, could not the Stalker Client NFPS "system" be "retrofitted" to older versions of XBMC/Kodi such as Gotham, so people are not compelled to update to newer versions if they are quite happy with using older versions of XBMC/Kodi such as 13.x? This would help alleviate the frustrations of many present/potential users of IPTV.

I can't talk for dvbken, but the core PVR before Helix was real buggy, and probably not worth the effort to code for. The correct dependencies may not be easy to find as well. IIRC the initial version of PVR Stalker did work on 13, but he develops for the latest version of Kodi, like most of the development community does.

Dara, thanks for your very measured and informative response! Communications like this assist people in making up their minds and to move forward.
