It seems most of the channels are freezing for me. Ex ESPN, NBATV, TNT, TBS EAST, BTSPORTS2

I dont know whats going on here im on 100mbps connection. When i use netflix it works flawlessly. But all the channels seem to be freezing for me :s

Relevant details ....
Avov tv+
NFPS
Wired connection
Location-Toronto

VOD seems to work fine.

any advice here?

Thanks

Just checked everything but btsports and no freezing on any on my end... STB emulator and they are running smooth. But I will say I have had hardly any freezing here.. I live in a small town with a great ISP provider. 50 down and 10 up.but it's tough to say what the freezing is from as there are a number of things that can contribute to it.

Yup freezing here too, every channel about every 25 seconds. Was down most of the day..not reliable service so far.
Any ideas to correct it. I'm almost afraid to shut the box off again, did that this morning, lost live TV online most of the day.

Unfortunately it's not the server so it could be a number of things, from your setup to the ISP. A lot of people get freezing at prime times when all your neighbors are home.. Just because your ISP says your getting whatever speeds doesn't really mean you are. A lot of times it matters what happens between the ISP and the next jump point. There isn't much you can do that I'm aware of unless someone else had something to try...so far the service has been great for a lot of people that don't have ISP issues. But the service is fine and running great!

it is a reliable service.
Seems strange that many people have solid TV with no freezing ( I am one), but others see issues, and then think and make a post that it is the service that is unreliable.

Service is fine, never better.

Yea seems to work for some fine. Im starting to think its the ISP maybe. Whats your ISP Rogers? Are you from Toronto or east coast?

Crazed 2, I do agree that there have been improvements. However, my service works well for most of the day, but freezes...like tonight. As you said, it might be an ISP issue. We are trying to see where the issues are coming from, whether it is a routing issue or what.

for me it was my ISP.... i upgraded my connection speed. Now it works 95 % of the time. But just saying anyway that when some channels SD 480 buffers for me on NFPS, on other services i got, same channels at the same moment in 720p don't...

When it happens it's not on my end so. It happens for the last walking dead.

Yup! I get same issue here

Here's the proof: (2min. HBO East video)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8D17-8A30trN2lCMnJGZ0U0N3M

The video froze 3 times @ 00:10 - 00:40, 00:50 - 01:20, 01:30 - 01:50
It seems that the video runs smoothly for 10secs, then it froze for 30secs --> buffering issue maybe

EDIT:
fyi, I have 50mbps wired connection
and I don't have this issue while watching any other paid streaming service (e.g. netflix)

just watched your video and mine is the exact same type of freezing!!

I believe you guys. I did not wanna sound like I did not believe yous, sorry.

I do not like to hear a member state that it is an unreliable service, is all I really wanted to convey.

And guys, there was some freezing here. It started just awhile ago and lasted for a few freezes. But seems to have cleared up now over 15 minutes.
It happened when I switched the channel and it took 2 or 3 freezes and then settled out. So tried switching channel again and exact same thing happened at first, same kinda freezing... But this channel has not stopped freezing since, locks up too till channel is changed.

Avov Vixo2
Hard Wired to Actiontec router
High Speed internet 100mbps (Canadian, not Rodgers)
No other devices powered on network.

As I said thou, this freezing is not normal thing here at any time of day or night really :(

Do we have server issues ?
Maybe

Crazed, thanks for the straight up views. You have been helping a lot on this forum, and your views are greatly appreciated. My service works very well for most of the day, but I have a pattern of freezing developing from around 7.30/8.00 pm, which I am monitoring, which may be ISP related, speed or other factors.

If it works for most of the day then you get freezing around what would be considered a busy time( in the evening) then it's most definitely your ISP provider.
