Sorry if this isn't the right thread but was wondering if it is possible to use 4G Internet that has a data usage limit for IPTV, and/or how much data - MB/hour - does IPTV use?

Sounds like your going to have to get yourself an unlimitted Data Plan, Make sure if you get such a plan where they don't lower your speed after you pass X amount of Gigs, Otherwise it won't work, Also if you want to use your phone and you Cell company doesn't allow you to use your phone to share, you may have to unlock your boot loader on your phone , then add a Rom that allows you to tether your cellular service to any device you want.

Based on how many hours per day? The 4G plans that are available have a limit of 5-10GB per month.

this info is a cut/paste from an earlier post, may be some help.

An estimated internet consumption (BANDWIDH) per month based on using your IPTV service @ 8 hours per day.

Live TV Channels:
SD = 750Kbps = 329.58 MB / Hour @ 8 Hours per Day = 81.73 GB / Month
HD = 1 Mbps = 439.43 MB / Hour @ 8 Hours per Day = 108.98 GB / Month

VoD Movies:
MicroHD = 650Kbps = 285.63 MB / Hour @ 8 Hours per Day = 70.83 GB / Month
HD = 1.4 Mbps = 615.21 MB / Hour @ 8 Hours per Day = 152.57 GB / Month

Overage charges have the potential to hurt badly.

I ran a test. Tuned to an HD channel for 4 hours. The Mag 254 was connected to a router flashed with dd-wrt which shows data usage. It consumed 3684mb in 4 hours which comes out to 922mb/hr. Far worse than I even imagined. Will leave it on for another 4 hours just to be sure.

...OK I ran the test for 8 more hours and it came out to over 900mb/hour on an HD channel.
