4 I did a lot of digging to come up with this one, and thanks to a buddy of mine for this idea

New hint

It is a Roadster or sports car

everyone's time is set to 0 so no mater when your last guess was you can make your first guess anytime

Your Clue #3, if a Car was Newly Introduced in an Auto Show in 1969, can it be designated as a 1969(Manufacture Date) or 1970(Model Year)...?!?

OK, so 1970 is not Allowed...? I ask this because I see 1970 being used...! Don't make the answer a Clue, just a Clarification...!

what are you talking about ?

What ever the manufacture designates the year as, then that is what it is.
If the manufacturer says the car is a 1945 model, then that is what it is.
Does not matter if they took it to Aunt Betty;s farm in 1943 to show it off to Aunt Betty"s family.
The car is what the manufacture says it is.

1964 1/2 Mustang - A First Rate Introduction

In 1964 production was in high gear for the newly designed 1965 Ford Mustang. The highly anticipated Ford Mustang was honored by being named the Indianapolis pace car of 1964 and Ford stepped it up to accommodate the rising status of their new design. A special convertible version was adapted as the pacer. It was manufactured in white with a blue stripe on the hood and trunk. Ford also made 230 extra pace cars, available in convertible and hard top. The 64 1/2 convertibles had a 289cid engine, and the hardtops came with the less powerful 260 V-8. Thirty five convertibles were sold to dealerships and 195 hardtops were given out in dealer contests held in April of 1964.

It is hard to believe that the original Mustang, so popular and built in such big numbers, would have such low production in the most collectible engine and body style combination. But that’s what we see here in Jose Luis Abraham’s MCA Concours Gold 1964½ classic. This first year Mustang is so rare and hot it’s a Mustang and a half.

It’s a K-code. It’s a four-speed. And, perhaps even more unusual, is the numeral “9” beneath “AXLE” on the original door data plate. This digit decodes a set of stump-pulling 4.11:1 gears in a “single track” (as opposed to an Equa-Lock) 9-inch rear end.

You are absolutely right but there are some where the vin description # does not match the year it was registered.

In those cases you would need to use a grinder and grind off the rivets that hold the ID tag and replace it with the correct tag so it can be registered.
You would need a donor car for this and of course a grinder :)

Lol Nope true story.I was looking at one the other day.I haven't seen many.I never really checked out the reason why they would be like that.Every digit matched but the 10th which is the year.Maybe they registered them at midnight. It might have been a Honda it was on.
