Yes they are having some issues, your not alone I am a reseller and have a lot of customer with the same problem

The IPTV reset seems to have no effect at all,it keeps returning me to the same page.I also tried to change portal to the full version.I tried to reload portal on the mag 256. The movies works fine and are updated. I also have channel 190 and some in the low 200.They are probably free. Would you think of something else i could try
Thank you Bob

I`m sorry dishuser1
.I am not a reseller so i don`t get it
What are you trying to say?
You have a mag 256 and it`s working!!!
i`m trying to get an answer for the past two weeks and no one seems to have an answer.Maybe you should explain how you do it.
Mine worked perfectly up until two weeks ago.Now when i ask for help, nobody seems to know what`s going on.
Any suggestions welcome. Thank you Bob

I didn't quote you ;)

I have never done the reset thing. That said, I have changed MAC addys to something else then back to my correct one again in the past and it worked. That said, it has been a long time since I had to do that. Also I'm on a mag 254 which is different than your model. I do know some of the mags are made to only work with certian systems and the 254 was more of a generic use with any system type of box. Different firmware. So don't know if changing Macs will help. Luck to you my friend. Have a great day!

EDIT>>>>> Just looked at the 256 page at Infomir.... The 256 is set up for Verimatrix scrambling. Thats what I was trying to think of being the difference. The 254 does not have that. That could very well be the problem with them. Do not know for fact, however that is the difference and judging from the problems being posted about the 256, could very well be a factor.

I have seen in the past 3 weeks various people with all black channels except those that are foreign. How we fixed it was to isolate your modem or router. some people replace the router and others have to change the modem. some have cisco routers that currently are not working. others have arris combo modem routers. one of my friends had a tm862g that all of a sudden stop passing American channels. he bought a sb6141 arris. and got a dlink router. all is working. some routers are not passing the video properly, and some modems don't work either. this is a fairly new problem. Try plugging into the modem and see if your channels appear. if they do maybe the router has some sort of problem? Haven't been able to pin point what it is as of yet. tried the multicast thing with no luck. this is a big problem. all over the states. whatever it is, it stops modem and certain routers from working with IPTV. I think its an ISP trying to combat against this form of service myself!

Things that make ya go Hmmmm. My old netgear DM111PSP modem and 5 year old Belkin -N- router still kickin! The thought that ISP could be causing trouble maybe through their modems and or routers by maybe updating firmware..... That is a good thought to consider! Hopefully some of these people that are having so much difficulty can get going again! Good suggestion! Have a great day!

This will calm the board down once people see its not the provider, its the ISP causing something (not sure if it s firmware or something hidden on there end.)to stop the channels from coming in.
I had 8 People in 3 weeks for this problem. All are resolved by either the router being replaced or the modem being replaced. 3 were the router and 5 were the modems. the replacement modem that we used is the sb6141. routers we used were netgear a/c 1750 6300v2. a dlink a/c 750. and a couple of older routers as well. its weird....

My mag256 is wired with linksys 2500 router.I unpluged it from the router and connected it directly in the modem and ..
"VOILÀ" It came back to life immediately.
Thank you tonyi1000,this was a geat idea.
An hour ago ,i connected the mag with the router again and so far so good it keeps working.I wanted to if there was something in the router setting that i could change. I might just well buy an adaptor to plug the mag256 directly into the modem. I`ll see if it`s still working tommorow
Thank again for the help Bobclown
