IPTV Private Server (NFPS)

Just an update. Speed has gotten even worse. Only 24kbps. Takes almost 2 min to load a channel, puts up an image, buffers for 90sec, displays one frame, buffers for 90sec, and another frame. Rinse and repeat.

Completely unwatchable. No channel plays.

Even worse is come 11pm or so tonight it will work just fine right at bed time.

oh my god i keep hearing ...don't blame the service...come on we all know its not the ISP lets face it NFPS has some issues that still needs to be fix and that is that....time will tell.
everybody should have problems if it was a server issue.. its logic. i've seen this a 100 times with just about every addon for kodi here ppl blame the addon.. come on use your common sense.. and while we are at it no there is no magic setting in advancedsettings that will make buffering go away.. coz im sure thats going to be the next silly question.

deja vu all over! ..rant off

edit: ps. im not mad, you are as entitled to your own opinion, as i am. i just hope we can keep it within one thread. as it is a endless discussion. ;)
also i'm not saying it is completely issue free. i have a "hole" in the stream from time to time, and i also miss a channel from time to time.

but far from anything that makes it anywhere near unwatchable.. and it runs pretty much 24/7.

yes this stuff is going on wont say no to that but they are work there azz off to get rid of this so please give it some time and yes i said that before my friend call me up last night and yup the ones he said freezes they sure did

I have posted I tried all 3 isp's in the Vegas area. It is not the ISP. It is a location issue.

I am in the middle of a backend server trace, and so far it looks like the stream is coming off the Atlantic fiber optic system. So far as I can see it is coming across Europe and over the Atlantic ocean fiber optic system. With only one source and the majority of users/people on the east coast that means no bandwidth left for us west coasters until east coast logs off. After then works like a charm. Like around 11pm pacific time until about 7-7:30am.

As for advancedsettings.xml you could not be anymore correct. It is not even used with live tv streams. The live tv does not buffer at all, ever thru this setting. Hit the o button on a keyboard when live tv is playing vs anything else. See for yourself. Advancedsettings.xml is equipment and internet speed specific for streams like Genesis, or Navi. You can actually see the play bar fill up grey. It does not do this with live tv. Live TV is a totally different self-contained monster of it's own.

Hank: i'm sorry for not reading back properly. that sucks. :( i was not ranting to anyone particular.
i was just tired of hearing people blame the servers when they usually should blame the internet infrastructure or a cheap isp, without trying any troubleshooting because "they have 150Mbit" advertised as their bandwidth.
it certainly seems you done your legwork, and i hope it will come in handy for other users, so they know whats going on.

good luck mate

8:30 am and now can't pull anymore than 286kbps. 9am and its down to 66kbps. You could actually watch the bandwidth drop off over the last hour.

I was watching a stream with the Ethernet monitor on and watched as the stream fizzled out. Pathetic.
Is there anyway to get your money back? No, didn't think so.

They need to add at least 2 times the bandwidth and at least 2 more servers to handle the number of users.

Of course the IKS system is almost totally down.

They rolled this out 2 months ago knowing they did not have the bandwidth to offer anyone any real service, and continued to take peoples money knowing the system does not work. That's just bad business. They should have tested more, and waited, but no, they just want your money.

Its like buying a refrigerator and bringing it home only to find cinderblocks in the box. Total scam.

I have been a Rocket customer for well over 5 years, and I am totally getting the short end of the stick.

I am done with this crappy service with no support. I'm also done doing all there support and testing for them.

People say this is a hobby. It's more like an aneurism waiting to happen.

I just shut down my online store, and listed not to purchase anything from rocket, NPSF or I66 until they get there crap together. I also just emailed my current 30+ customers and told them to come here for support, and bash the service themselves until they either fix it or shut it down.

I am no longer going to be the test subject for these clowns. My personal rocket ends next month, and I am not going to renew. I cant believe something that has been around this long went down hill so fast.

I am done.

Peace out everyone, and thanks for your help. I would say it was fun, but it hasn't been.

Works great for me just payed for another 6 months! See ya Hank...It's been a hoot reading your posts and laughing at your theories on how us east coast people steal your bandwidth in Vegas lol lol lol

your post are no help, lets admit there is a problem, my speed is 3 mbps right now but no freezing. it is also impossible for a speed of at least 20 mbps to get buffering, i believe there is problem somewhere else.

Hank: lol how can you blame the service for your isp being cheap?
these are not ppl using the server, its ppl login on aol, yahoo, facebook, youtube, twitter, tripper and all the other shit your isp's costumers use. and you are right.. it's probably the east cost. lol

You can't blame the service on how the internet works.. that is really to far out..
The numbers of countries where you can host a server and where the long crazy copyright law of usa can not reach is very limited.

its like blaming Microsoft for your internet bill because you are on capped sat and they send you security updates.

let's just say the server's are in the "wrong" location then. i do not doubt ppl. problem is this is just a endless discussion. :)

I think the Servers are in Belize .........Probably not a country that has top flight internet abilities or choices when setting up servers........................

So in Belize you pay $350.00 (U.S. dollars) a month for 8mbps......and that's the highest speed you can get...........Well no wonder people are complaining.....i bet you that advertized 8mbps comes with a Bandwidth cap too.........what's ROCKET thinking.........................My Dream-TV App gives better service and thats FREE

I see that VIDSWAPS posted arlicle from 2014....did a search for 2015 update of Internet speeds in Belize....and found that a 16 Mbps plan was added ....Still thats way too slow Too run this kind of operation ...................................

Now this is what Rocket needs......................

Scientists in the UK have created the fastest ever real-world internet connection, using commercial-grade fibre optic lines to clock up speeds of 1.4 terabits per second.

It’s believed to be the fastest speed test of its kind, and would allow users to hypothetically download 44 high-definition films in a single second.
