I am on the west coast, so is that indicative of the response from the server ?

Cause I can tell you my internet speed itself is fast and the Android is on a wired connection.

I will try the same thing on my PC Kodi to see if there is any difference.

And that 12.63 Kb/s reminds me almost of going back to the days of 300bps modems for Gods sake!!!

Sorry that is the audio stream speed in kbps. That is a bad way to show approx. how fast your connection speed is. on the top line is shows 128kbps are needed. You are only getting a tenth of that.

If it cant buffer the audio it wont buffer video.

The fifth line shows how far forward the video buffer is. in your case it is zero.

try using task manager on network to see your total download speed.

I checked a few other channels just to get a bit of an avg and the most I got was 97 so it is truly horrible.

I wonder if we could get a relay server in there somewhere ... or is there something that will allow you to buffer on the device prior to viewing it?

No wonder the freaking service is horrible....

I will try the same on my PC Kodi and then on the OPENELC as well to get a feel for any differences

Where are you located, east coast or west?

I have 2 IPTV boxes and 2 IKS receivers. One Mag, one micro pc, and 2 jynx boxes.

I have been using IKS for several (+5) years with no more than the usual issues.

I have been using IPTV for months now with nothing but issues

I am only pulling down between 20kbps-200kbps from this server. I know about the O for info inside kodi, and I am using it along side an Ethernet monitor to check total bandwidth. This is not enough bandwidth to play anything.

I am on the west coast with 100mbps service from cox, so my speed is not an issue.

Every other streaming service I run (genesis, ice films, hulu, Netflix, xbox live runs at between 1.4-70Mbps, and plays flawless.

I have tried both major isp's in town and they are all the same.

I even took the micro pc to work at the newspaper and hooked it up to 1000mbps commercial service and still the same thing.

This is a server issue. If your on the east coast you are getting your bandwidth from the source quicker than I am and there is nothing left for us at this end.

I have been in IT at a major media company for 20 years. I think I know what I am talking about.

I am trying to find people with the same or close to the same issues. If your service is working that's great, but if you are like me and fighting to get anything to play please state your location and equipment used, and let us try and figure out what is going on.

If your service works great please put down your location and equipment used so we can rule some stuff out.

I truly wish someone from the backend checks this forum.

West coast of Canada same issues here

Don't worry. After tonight we may have a workaround if Rocket doesn't do anything about it. Just set up a proxy to the east coast and take the bandwidth. Simple, and it will cause enough double data transfer to either get everyone noticed, or for them to fix the problem.

like i always said is NFPS servers problem the East coast have no buffering issues while the West coast does. I do to expect for things to get better but it sucks that for some paying costemers got the end of the stick.

Well I am in mid country and get very little freeze except on the Discovery type channels around the 190 mark so some long standing issues remain and with the support nfps/188/rocket has done over the years would expect them to continue as such.
The expansion of the channels and user base has prolly impacted the service more for some than others and getting new hardware in place takes a lot of planning as future developments have to be considered, is not something that can be picked up at an electronics store shelf but likely custom built.
Must be lots of satisfied users as the number of complaints are limited to a few people so not many write in to say it is working well prolly never come on site.

Better days are coming wish I knew how or when.

OK crappy service here we come again. Everything was working well until almost exactly 8:05 about 10 min ago. Was getting bursts of received up to 3.6 mbps. Now I am down to 100kbps on every channel that works.

This is completely madding.

I'm going to try and set up a proxy to the east coast and see if my bandwidth goes up.

Please for the love of loyal customers fix this crap.

Proxy to the east coast worked, but it is little more than a Band-Aid for a bullet wound. The stream is much better, but when it does buffer it now takes 3 times as long to come back due to the double data transfer. Me to proxy, proxy to server, server to proxy, proxy back to me. All this is doing is eating up bandwidth from the source. If too many of us try this all its going to do is make the system unusable for everyone.

I went a head and turned the proxy off, and checked my connection to the server, and low and behold it still doesn't work. Only pulling 86kbps.

What's even worse is I can connect to Phoenix on the same channel and it works 100% better than my paid subscription. Only buffers from time to time.

15 out of 30 of my donations end in 15 days, and 10 more end 30 days later. Out of 25 people, 19-22 are not going to renew. They are all sick of fighting for bandwidth, and a service that doesn't work after 2 months of being "live"

Everyday they hear it's getting better, and it hasn't worked one day since it started. Last night was the final straw for most of them.

Terrible.
