yes i do
I'm about to sign up for IKS66 and wonder if I can get confirmation that I've got everything sorted before I go ahead. I will be setting this up in Kodi on a PC, and am referring to Dara's tutorial pdf

1. In Dara's tutorial the screenshot under the section for setting up a MAC in Kodi IPTV Stalker it shows the 1st 3 pairs of values as 00:1A:79 - From what I've read that's incorrect, and that for the IPTV Staller addon those should be 00:1A:78 instead. Is that right?

2. I was going to use Dara's IPTV Stalker "Plus" 10.2.4 and call it with the iVue TV Guide video addon. Are there any other Stalker video addons that I might want to consider?

3. Dara's tutorial explains how to configure the Portal/Server URL on boxes, but not in IPTV Stalker. I've read that the URL should be different for Kodi 16 than it is for 15.2. Where will I find the portal URL I need, when I go to enter a MAC?

4. Can I use the service on 2 PCs as long as I don't use them simultaneously?

5. There's one major consideration I have to make before signing up for IKS66. Looking at the current channel list, many are HD (all VOD channels) and require bandwidth that just isn't available to me. There's nothing I can do about that, is there?

Thx

You should link a MAC that starts with "00:1A:78"

The only 'safe' Stalker video addons are on this site. Couch Potato has put out some Mods that should work as well, but has some extra stuff that could confuse the issue for newbies.

For IPTV Stalker 10+, you don't enter the portal url, as they are coded internally to the add-on

4. Can I use the service on 2 PCs as long as I don't use them simultaneously?

Yes you can

The good thing about Kodi is that there are other options for VoD, and you can find alternatives for live channels as well. It does require some research to find them, but its not hard. For IPTV, buffering is a given, but bandwidth helps. The service is not 100% reliable, some people have low tolerance levels, and for them, the service may not be a right fit, and they should just get a regular subscription.

Thanks for your detailed response Dara.

I've seen Couch Potato's & I have no problem working out more advanced configurations. I'll browse for others.

Okay great... But for other stalker addons?

The good thing about Kodi is that there are other options for VoD, and you can find alternatives for live channels as well. It does require some research to find them, but its not hard.
Have been using non-sub addons for quite a while, and have generally content. And I suppose if I searched a bit more I might find VoD outside the sub. Just wish I had the bandwidth for HD. Buffering problems that don't involve my own bandwidth limitations are always a given.

The service is not 100% reliable, some people have low tolerance levels, and for them, the service may not be a right fit
Took advantage of the stalker trial last winter/spring, so I'm reasonably familiar and its level of reliability, which was the best of anything I've come across. Much better that the constant juggling act involved with non-paid subs that I'm getting weary of.

and they should just get a regular subscription.
Not quite sure what you mean when you say "regular subscription" Dara. Haven't seen options for IKS66 other than number of months.

Let me know how it goes. I am also interested in getting a 1 month subscription from IPTV66 dot com for use in a similar setup as yours. I have got the Stalker NFPS Add-on installed, just have to buy a subscription and see. I like the close to STB functionality that one would get in a MAG254 type box or Android box running a STB Emulator. I have not come across anything similar when using with Kodi on Windows 8. I am not sure if Yatse remote would allow you to flip channels like a STB remote, once you are in the Live TV section. Could not find any Youtube video on it as most stop at after installing and setting up the Add-on.

I have looked at Android Emulators for Windows and found and installed MeMU. But I am still not sure what I would use as a remote to control the STB App that I installed within Android running inside MeMU. I am debating getting one of those cheap $40 MXQ Android boxes as I have already invested in a HTPC Laptop recently. Finding any reliable LiveTV through Kodi is a pain and the interface is not like a dumb STB Remote.

I'm not getting reliable replies from any of the IPTV services I've written support questions to. That's about all I can say at this point. Very disappointed, but not surprised.

I've used a wireless keyboard/mouse combo for years to navigate the menus on a HDTV/HTPC setup. Who needs yet anther RC??
