I have similar freezing-buffering problems. Running Kodi 15.0 on either Linux (Lubuntu/Cinnammon) or Windows 8.1 on a Yoga 2 Pro (i7), with a wifi service that provides ~50 mb/s. I tried to set 0 cache, following a you tube tutorial, but it did not help, and might have made things a bit worse...
