Is this a normal on/off scenario on your unit?

I recently got the TV online unit. I just want to know if this is normal or if my unit is defective.

If I quickly tap on the power button to turn it off and then later I press the power button to turn it on, it turns on fine... However if I hold the power button for a few seconds a box will pop up with the options to either power off or reboot... If I select the power off option the unit shuts down, but when I press the power button to turn it on, it won't turn on. The only way to turn it on is if I pull the plug and plug it back in. Is this normal for these type of units? Is it defective?

thats how to get in the box like reboot or default thing like that

I posted the same question when I got mine and answer was that it was normal. Wish we could turn it back on with remote like most electronics. Is a bit of a pain. if you hold the off button too long it shuts down and you have to unplug

you can easily turn it on with the remote, prob is it won't refresh date/time from last use....

I posted same question when i first got mine. It is a pain. Should be able to turn on again without unplgging.

don't hold the power button long enough for the drop down menu. The box turns on/off just fine with the remote, the problem remains, however, that if the remote is used to power on or off the time/date on the main menu screen doesn't refresh.
