"Windows 10 Finally Surpasses Windows 7 Marketshare, Now The Most Popular And Used Desktop OS. It may have taken longer than some would have expected, but MicrosoftÂ’s Windows 10 is now being used by more people than its most popular predecessor, Windows 7.
This comes after the switch had already taken place among gamers who use Steam, but following the release of the latest numbers from NetMarketShare for December 2018, Windows 10 has finally overtaken Windows 7."

I have used windows ever since DOS and Windows 10 Pro was just too imposing with its crapware. Turn things off, it turns it back on before you leave the configuration page. I had enough of Microsoft products as it just will not allow you to delete, choose or run Windows in a way that doesn't restrict, impose of configure it the way I want it so adios Windows, Hello Linux Mint and Android. Apple and Windows is sliding backwards in their OS's, Apps, laptops and cellphones. Top dog has the Huawei P20 Mate Pro with 8gb ram 256gb rom but it comes in several versions but focus on the Global version as it works anywhere on the planet. Be warned, its made in China but it is far from cheap with its onboard 40 mega pixel camera, 3 lenses with an OLED screen that drops your jaw as soon as you fire it up. Definitely an eye popper running on Android 9.0

Linux is great not only because reasons mentioned here, but because it is a workhorse with abilities of getting into applications and using programs and etc.. etc...
I do run Linux at times, but at times I also have no access to it, mainly not, since I messed it up so bad back in the day... I probably had to mess with the drive or something, one dark stormy night.

But I could always run a verterial linux OS (Lucid Puppy) on my Windows system. Then I was back in buisness with accessing certain programs and making things work... something windows is not comparable with.

cnxemu was a program back in the day, and when it first appeared it could only be run on a Linux OS

there are many things that Linux can do as far as programing and etc, that are not comparable to windows...including security, yes :)
