yes
I'm a full time/permanent RV'er and am currently changing from HDMI to SD (ntsc) every night so I can watch tv in bed. I know this is not a life saving question but would a splitter work. I'm using an anolog splitter/converter now running RG6 with a dbs rf signal to remotely change channels. I have a nice Samson hd in the bedroom is why I would like to see if a splitter would work. Any thoughts?.....Dambikr

yes an HDMI splitter switch will work with the Mag 254
I have experience with the Nexxtech HDMI Switch and the Mag 254
4 hdmi inputs -- 1 hdmi output

Works good with the Mag receiver. The only thing I notice that can be annoying is when you have more then one device powered up and connected to the switch. If the Mag is the one being viewed and it gets a temporary interruption in signal (like a short freeze), then the switch will automatically recognize the other signal from the other device and switch to it. But soon as the Mag re-acquires signal, then the switch automatically switches back to it) or which ever device is currently chosen, from 1 to 4).

I have this avov2 that will not work thru HDMI with this one TV I have. All other android boxes will work with that TV and with the same HDMI cabling (or other cabling too).
That day I was stumped.
That was the day that I bought this Switch.
Now the avov2 does work with this cheapo TV, but has to go thru the Switch first.

So HDMI Switches and androids do like each other (at least all the androids I have here) :)
Issues with HDMI cabling and the different types or brands can happen, but seldom would there be an issue with HDMI Switches and androids,

I know, I know... a simply yes it will work, would have sufficed :)

I have a mag hooked to a 2 way splitter I bought from Amazon going to 2 different tvs. While it does work when both tvs are on, the mag will go to a black screen if one of the tvs are turned off. I then have to restart the mag to get a picture again.
I hooked up an android box to the same splitter and there is no problem when I turn a TV off.

I use one myself. Don't buy anything you can't return, because some of them don't work to well (HDCP). Then I convert one side to component, so I can use baluns and cat5 to run it into my bedroom. Next I convert it back to HDMI.

Actually I run both my Dreamlink Sat box and Mag254 into a switch so I only have to run one line to my bedroom.

I think you have an HDCP problem. You might want to try a different splitter.
