what kind of authentication i sbeing used for the IPTV streams?

do you think ssl actually protects anything? it doesnt, its weak as hell. any scriptkiddie could intercept id . the streams uuse RTMP i think,... use a VPN if your worried about eavesdropping..

with a nick like rcmpayne,, im assuming your in canada.. now im not a lawyer, but accessing streams like this is not illegal here, its jsut like using icefilms, primewire or any of the hundreds of other free streaming sites on the net.. ppl in canada hav eonly ever gotten in trouble with torrents.. streaming sites are not illegal... yet..

Depending on the encryption, it stops the ISP from eavesdropping. i think its funny how you say its weak as hell but you you advise to get a vpn which in most cases are using PPTP or 128 bit which is the lowest encryption method of choice to keep speeds from being reduced. Anyway, thanks for the info about RTMP.

your ISP doesnt care.. they only thing ISPs do in canada is send out warnings to torrent users because the movie companies also download the torrents and capture the ips of all other peers/seeders..,, no one is intercepting what your actually doing online or sniffing your packets.. that would be an illegal wiretap, they have no right to do so, and cant do anything to you for anything they were to find if they did.

laugh all you want.. a vpn is more secure than ssl alone, even a crappy one.... the real point i tried to make, is,, no one cares what your watching...
