A new virus/malware! I was doing a search on a local news anchor who left the local TV station. I found a link to the local station doing a tribute and I clicked on it. After viewing I tried to back up to the search page and I could not leave the page, so I clicked on the search and a window posing as Microsoft with a warning that there was something wrong with my computer. I also opened a log on page. I had a friend who had recently gotten the same virus and warned me. I understood him to say to click on the taskbar. ---WRONG!!. Could not close the program that way. So I clicked on the message box on the cancel button. ----WRONG!! I then did a Ctrl-Alt-Delete --- CORRECT!!! BUT TOO LATE!! When I reopened the browser, the window popped up again. I then again did the CAD option and then uninstalled. I ran Avast and then Malware Bytes. Avast did not find anything but Malware Bytes did. I had it removed and then did a reinstall of my brouser (PaleMoon) and it detected a ?? tab and I said to close it. At this point I am using it to warn all of you about this new threat. If you should get this virus use the Ctrl-Alt-Delete option first. DO NOT CLICK ON ANYTHING ELSE!!!! and then close the program. My friend said that was what he did. I guess anytime you get a suspicious page like that, that would be the best thing to do.

Maybe someone else can offer a better solution, but that is all I have to offer
