Here is instruction of how to use time shift.
Firstly, you should format usb stick memory of micro sd memory to FAT32 format in your pc.
Insert it to Dreamlink USB or Micro SD slot.
Check if stick is mounted correctly thru File Browser APK which is preinstalled at My APPs menu
While watching a live channel, press Left button on remote, and you will see progress bar popping up at bottom on screen.
Enjoy time shift by using Left, Right or ok button.

Not working for me. I only have a few days before my return window closes. Do you think it's a software issue that will get fixed, or should I just return and get a new box?

It could be a combination of a few things you either have a faulty box or your not doing something correctly still..and it very well could be a bit of both it’s really hard to tell and hard to diagnose a problem like you without usually someone being there

Doubtful it's user error -- I'm a pretty experienced, tech savvy developer. I'm going to assume it's a faulty box, and that the other people having issues with timeshift also have faulty boxes. It's either that, or a software issue with that latest update that we all received. Either way, the lack of official support is frustrating!

I had time shifting working fine before (pause , rewind) However when you pause, the audio keeps streaming. When you unpause, it goes back to live TV. This feature is a great addition, however it can be related to software, and matters on server side too. Keep the updates coming :)

Still not working on firmware v1.2.14 - r12933 and DOL2 v1.09.03 - r1437

Hi, time shift works fine on my t1. i just got my large shipment of t2s and i plug in the usb and it reads it fine and recording works. But on the t2 when when i press left and right button the time bar dosent pop up. I have tried multiple t2 units and none are working with time shift. Also tried doing factory reset.
