yes i do
I have read 2 different ways to configure ninja.

One is use the stalker client that is built into kodi and configure my donation from there or

using the stalker epg updater and configure donation in there

which is better or which is the right way when using nija epg/guide?

I won't make a blanket recommendation for any option, it really is up to you to do the research. If you take the time to read the tutorials, but also strive to understand what you are doing, you'll be better off in the long run... just like driving a manual transmission. You'll never know when you may need the skill.

wait , I need both configured it looks like,,, first I would go into the epg updater stalker for ninja and configure it and then select either pvr stalker or simple

if I select pvr stalker then I would still need to go into the built in stalker client and configure that as well

is this correct or not

thanks

I have been reading here a lot but there are some conflicting information ,,, I cannot figure out if I use the epg updater stalker that when I select lets say pvr stalker how I would not also need to configure the stalker client as well since it has the signature id device id serial # etc that epg updater config does not have

do we not need signature id , device id and serial # no more?

also under stalker client it has a remote url to fill out , do we not need that info either?

by the this form has a tremendous amount of great info , just is a lot to take in when just starting out

thanks again

The epg updater is designed to fill in the required information for the built-in pvr stalker... that's all you would need to know. Make sure you turn off the "configure" flag after it does it for you. If you are using an android device, you probably don't need to make any adjustments on the location of the EPG file on the Stalker Client itself, but you might with a PC.

Yes, that is what he means; otherwise, the updater reconfigures the client again and again, and each time and you would have to do an IPTV Reset to get things functioning. Avoid that by turning off the configure flag.

also under stalker client it has a remote url to fill out , do we not need that info either?

comparing between "xmltv_url" (dynamic remote-url) vs "xmltv_path" (static local-storage)

I myself prefer to use the "xmltv_url"
which is enable the pvr-client to drive the 3rd-party (my addon) to download the latest update directly from the source (actively)

the "xmltv_path" runs in the opposite way
the update is driven by the 3rd-party (epg updater),
hence the pvr-client is only able to pull the file from your local storage which has been already downloaded by the updater (passively)

which one is better?
po-tay-to? or per-tat-er? :D

but I'm sure the "xmltv_path" might only be a temporary solution until psycon releases the new updater

Well, it kind of depends. Some people like driving a manual transmission, others would rather drive an automatic.

what a smart analogy! I really do like it

I also have one

some people love sedan
others would love suv

I myself prefer to have this one:
