If you have a Smart Tv or a tv with a menu, go into the audio section of the menu or setup and check to make sure your audio is set to digital not analogue. Your digital cable has to be checked to make sure you have the right type that allows bidirectional audio, if it doesn't, that could be the problem. There are several types of HDMI cables, they are not all the same so check into HDMI cables and if you're not sure what type you're using, buy one that you know will work or ask somebody at a retail outlet.
