Should we use Kodi with IPTV Rocket, NFPS, 66 ? Do you still need Kodi? What are the alternatives if any?
Thanks for the answers and comments.
Thank you for the reply.
I have a Buzz box but have Kodi on it as well that I use to load APK files. Is their another way to load APK files? Thanks
I believe that is a personal preference more or less ...... honestly you have a lot of channels with all three systems , read / learn here -> IPTV Live Channel List
Don't have a VOD - Video On Demand List - because it's always being updated along with Tv Series ......
I can't really answer your question(s) about kodi , because i really don't use it .. it's been years ....... i guess you could keep as a back up , what i am saying is you have a lot of choices already with the three services as is .
Maybe i am confused are you connecting through kodi ?
Do you have a STB set top box ? or are you using a PC personal computer ..ect ..ect ?
Here is kodi instructions below -> -Kodi-Discussion
You see the two stickies talking about at the top , is that what you're talking about ?
I am pretty sure there is , not sure what buzz box you have .. i would assume they all open Android Packed Kit files ....
you can open a thread if you want in the sub forums or tell me what version of buzz box you have , maybe someone else can be assist you with loading them ... i have the xr 4500 .. if you need help i am sure we can figure it out ...
Buzz Sub Forums ->-BuzzTV-Box
what model do you have ?
Thank you, great channel list. Maybe me and forgetful mind but I do not recall ever seeing the term "local and Remote" on the lists?
I what do they mean? remotes come from a different service than LiveTV???
I would assume VOD - Video On Demand would be more or less a database full of movies right ? Vs Live right ?
XRS4900. Do they load different?
There are some 'remote' channels seen thru liveTV
These channels are not hosted on the papiao servers. In fact you can view these channels without having a papiao active account(code). But you'd need the channel access first in order to get the channel info in order to view it outside of papaio code. So you\d need a papiao code in order to access the channel info
THe PPV channels are like this , and many more.
kinda a Catch 22 situation
yes, the xrs4900 does have apps onboard that will load apk files.
Check my post from above at post #6
The main benefit of using KODI with IPTVXtra2 video add-on, is for access "extreme" to all the VOD items available to you.
knowing what is in there is useless with the tools available, since the Genres are not complete (ie; missing sci-fi etc.), and all have only 1 category (Drama only, instead of Crime/ Drama/ Thriller).
With Kodi you can load all Titles into the database and use TMdb or other Information providers, to load lots of data about each item, then it compiles it into usable functions for you to access.
Features like
-Sets (James Bond 007 Set (Every 007 item in VOD).
-Cast (Sean Connery (Every selection with Sean Connery as a cast member))
-Extended Genres (Fantasy, sci-fi, Animation, Documentary, War, Sports, etc)
-Multiple Ratings
-Watch Trailers
...and so on.
So if you are using Playlist access with your account, you can use any other app for TV, then use KODI for VOD and PPV access features.
