yes i do
Hey guys,Any idea on how to root the Dreamlink T1 Plus so that I can install and set up Samba Filesharing and share folders on the external SD card with Windows clients properly...?I am aware of the trick of setting up Samba on a non-standard >1024 port, but then I would need to set up a virtual network adapter and IP to do the redirect... which also needs rooting... so then, why not root for Samba directly... :)ThanksQ

an smb share is present by default.. u jsut need to conenct to your devicees ip ie \\192.168.0.99 or whatever its ip is... if prompted for a username try guest with no pass, but anything should work except blank

I remember trying that and seeing that work, but only the internal storage was shared/visible, not the external one... and even the internal one was read-only...
Will re-check again tonight.
Thanks.

I've got tons (several hundred GB) of family videos and photos and want to transfer them onto the 512GB microSD I recently added to my DL box...
Want to use the box as the local mirror of my family media... I thought DL was (also) a media centre...
I hear you, its just beyond my expertise. I know dl has their boxes pretty secure due to piracy issues but with the internet and smart members around, I guess anything is possible.
Good luck in your endeavours.
