I've noticed that these generic Android boxes come pre loaded with XBMC or KODI. My question is since newer versions of KODI are available at the google play store is there any reason why is can't be down loaded and installed like any other app?
Unless the Kodi/XBMC install was customized for the box, there's no reason not to go ahead and install the google play version. Just be aware of what version is being installed as right now the version is not the final release of 15.0. It's also best to uninstall the previous version before installing because Android may prevent the update because of possible signature conficts. Don't forget to back it up before uninstalling if you want to keep your current add-ons.
Ok guys I'll give it a go, I need to get some USB sticks & mini sd cards. I also saw a very cool piece of hardware called a PIPO X8 mini dual boot PC, check it out, it's pays just for the Office 365 that's pre loaded.
