Hey guys, I went into the resolution menu of my mag and changed my resolution to 720p from 1080p but my tv is a 1080p and now when i boot up it wont go to the main menu (it shows loading and the infomir logo but wont go to menu. How do i fix this?. I unplugged the power adapter and plugged it back in and i still get a black screen. The changing of resolution from 1080p to 720p wont make me load to the menu. Everything was working fine before with the 1080p resolution, i dont know why it wont load the menu it just goes to a black screen and i can't do anything to fix it. help.

It could be a couple of things, such has the HDMI cable 1.4 +, now remember that when is initially loading it does take couple of minutes so be patient.
It happen to me too but i was able to reset the setting and change the resolution and i also changed to a better HDMI cable. read the thread below carefully.

Plug in the RCA cables to the box and to the TV, change the source to where you plugged the RCA cables on your TV now once you turn on the MAG you have to quickly press the Menu key to get into the bios, no switch the connection to NTSC 1080p and then go down to save and exit with the right error on the remote follow instructions and you should be good to go on the HDMI.

Once you have done this you have to go back to HDMI and it will boot up. These boxes take a lot of time to boot up, believe it or not over 30 seconds but once you have changed the settings to NTSC 1080 then you have saved it, go to your HDMI settings and wait a bit and it should work.

Came across this old thread on a google search because I'm having the same problem. I tried what was mentioned above but everytime the portal starts to load the mag restarts and changes back to 720p. Do I have to keep the hdmi plugged in and after I change the resolution via composite I just do the same with hdmi?
