Mag254 clone

I just brought one of these new...when I go inside it says mag254...but when I see the box advertised it says mag254 on the front of it...mine does not say that...thank you

mine doesnt either... if you bought from infomir, i wouldnt worry about it being a clone

None of the Mag 254 say Mag 254 on them.
The top has a world picture.
I got mine from xbmcfreaks.com.

The box they come in are the same box as the Mag 250 as well. Doesn't say Mag 254 on the outside box.
Guess they were to cheap to make a new cardboard box.

looks legit,mine has a foil sticker under the machine that says infomir and on one corner it says ukrain,so think your is legit,but check for those things I mentioned.Mine where bought from infomir ,so im not worried about been clones.

Same here. Infomir foil sticker. Ukraine stamped in the bottom side of case.

That's an original, yes.
The member 1969z just above your post, has boughten from that same ebay guy.

For some food for thought...
Definition of a clone is another receiver manufacture use same software as the original has used. It does not mean a receiver of the same name. Many will use names that are popular and similar.
I don't think you would be needing to worry about clones. Maybe you might find one that is similar in appearance but different name, or similar name but different in appearance. The MAG line is not even an original. Some time in the past over in Russia, these receivers became popular to a few different companies.

YEP I got two asked the man, he said he's an Infomir Distributor.

the tag on the bottom also says MAG254

I took pictures and product number and email them to infomir just to be sure. They replied with it is an original, so if anyone has any concerns they can do that too.
