So I get home last night... Rogers had disabled my internet access because of a dlink router I was using as a switch was used in a Denial Of Service Attack (DOS)...They put my internet access back and asked to upgrade the firmaware on the router...What i did instead was to get a cisco switch (Switch Cisco 5-Port Fast Ethernet SF100D-05) ...plugged in works perfect except for both the MAG254 and my android box (cs918) wont connect.

So my next step was to isolate the issue... connect the android box directly to the rogers modem...and still no coonection, try re-booting everything. everything was working fine and now not even the old dlink router wont connect.

the wifi on the android box is ok.

any help will be appriciated....thanks

i here you i need to go to router not switch but if you cant what you need to do is assign a static address to that box on your router like 192.168.1.14 and tell it to open it or you wont get internet to that box and must use a static address not a dhcp
