My mag 254 is failing and I wish to replace (upgrade) it. Any suggestions from the experts?

mag 254 should be working fine.
Rarely do I have an issue with this box.

Heck i have 2 mag 250s there still kicking after 3 years

More details on your issues would be helpful. Mags rarely fail.

When the Mag254 boots to the desktop, nine out of ten times, when I select one of the areas (All, Sports, Cinema etc) the screen goes blank and I have to reboot the system or sometimes the picture will freeze with the dialogue audible in the background.

it could be a faulty or weakly connecetd HDMI cable

my mag 250 freeze on low channels doing it about a week now why ?????????
