How long does it take to reboot your STB (Mag 254)?

Mime is rebooting for a bout 10 minutes already and still going.

shouldn't take that long. 30 seconds maybe at most.

Is the channel screen saying Loading ?
And if so, is there the dots flashing after the word, or is the Loading word just been still with no dots flashing? ?

It just shows the loading symbol moving from left to right.

It is still loading. Should I unplug the power from the STB and pug it back in?

if it's moving then it's active. I'd leave it awhile yet.
If it was still, i could with confidence tell you to unplug it and plug back in... but with it 'active', I can not suggest unplugging it without personal experience in doing that.
But one thing I can say, is that I have interupted a reboot/loading with a few FTA receivers in the past and had no harm...

Your decision bro , but wait another 5 minutes before you do anything.

I just read up on an Avov receiver and stuck in boot up. The fella unplugged it and things went well for him. He had to reset it upon start up but you may not have to reset.

It's not the Mag receiver but the unplugging it did no harm for him...

Crazed, thank you for your advice. I ended up unplugged the power from the STB for a minute and plugged it back in. It continued loading for about 30 sec. Then finished loading. There is an ECM right now and I'm WATCHING TV.
