kodi

Avov tv-online plus .....can only be loaded from the market ......as of now only Kodi 16.1 is in the market ...........don't know if Avov will update kodi in the market for their older boxes ....doubt it ...........

I contacted them, they say there will not be anymore updates on tv online+. They say it's too old, I've been working on trying to install forks that will possibly allow https, not sure if the install has had any success so far

When a manufacturer decides that they will not update a box because it is too old spells doom for them in my mind. I bought a Dell Duo and when Windows 10 came out, I updated to it and then my Duo's USB ports were no longer accessible. I went to Dell for a new driver for the usb on windows 10 and they said that they no longer supported the Duo for Windows 10. I now have a dead computer in my eyes and when I upgraded to a new laptop, Dell was not in the consideration. Never will be!

The Avov TVonline boxes can sideload apk's via the AppInstaller, which can be found using Kodi's access to the boxes Android apps. Instead of Kodi 17, you may want to load a fork like FTMC which will enable the use of https streams.

True.......But not with Avov Tv-Online plus ....Tv-Online V2 ...or original tv-online ...there is no AppInstaller in kodi for those boxes ...........only the newer Avov boxes can do this

Unless you know away to get AppInstaller into the Kodi on these boxes I mentioned .............Maybe Avov tinkered with the 16.1 kodi in the Market to take out the Appinstaller option..........

I don't have a + on hand to test (gave it to family as a Kodi box) so I'll take your word on it, however I do recall being able to do it with the plus or the Fuse, which isn't that much different from the base OS. I'll fire up the Fuse to see if it could do it.

Edit... I forgot that I had rooted the Fuse, so it's different. Sorry about that.
