Kodi 17.3 reverts to guide by itself ?

I run kodi 17.3 android tv box, lollipop 6.0 at approx. 47mbps download speed. While watching some channels on nfps sub, the show stops and reverts back to the epg guide all by itself ? Restart the show and away it goes again. This can happen over and over again. Often this occurs within about 2 minutes of the show being over ? It can also pause and restart itself and replay the last 20-30 seconds of the show that I had already seen ? Is there a kodi setting that I can make to correct these issues ?

It appears that when they do changes to the Server or System, they perform the reboot at the top of the hour. (apparently any hour!!).
The 10-20 second looping appears to be a method of system operation enabled when the stream is not working. It replays what is in the playout buffer, over and over.

It is effective in a way since if you are surfing the channels, you think there is nothing wrong. Also, performance wise, you dont get stuck disconnecting the channel to go to the next channel.
