Hello all, after about 2-3 weeks of struggling with my Mag254, I'm throwing in the towel. I have only connected to the server 3 times. I've gone into the bios and resetting the unit, changed Mac addy then back, checked Internet, made a donation for a new rocket and successfully loaded Mac addy, contacted Papio ( they answered my email very promptly) and did their best with suggesting things to try, still nothing. All that happens is the yellow bar starts to climb, then "authentication Problem", then nothing. My uneducated guess is since all I have is satellite internet (xplornet, very stable & I'm pleased), and the ping times that run around 700-800ms, therein lies my problem. Can someone tell me if I can use a laptop, download files ?????, install, setup ( point me to proper files and try before buying a Xbmc/kodi unit? Maybe this method may work. Thank you all!

Hello Bkman2020. I got it from a reseller. It is new Mag254. Red Infomir logo screen on boot up, updated to r11. When I hooked it up and set for auto downloading it started to update. I have connected 3 separate times to the Rocket server. Here's my info.
Sticker on Mag254 Manufactured may 30, 2015
Hard wired from Mag254 to Mofi 3500 3gn router. Router shows my MAC address in allowed column.
Internet: Xplornet 5mbps download speed. Steady, dies in electrical storms and thick rain clouds as with any satellite system.
One thing I did was I restarted the portal, I chose the Rocket server, and before I hit enter, i unplugged my cat5, hit enter and a split screen showed up. On the left half was my rocket portal, and the embedded portal. On the right half is a warning screen that informs me the is no connection to the Internet. As soon as I plug the cat5 back in the warning half says I'm connected and goes away.
MAC address was successfully loaded. I punched in lower case letters, but it always gets saved with upper case letters. Some say case matters. Some say no. Internally including bios screen displays lower case. On old donation I replaced my MAC address with a phoney, saved it successfully. On new donation made Sunday, loaded my MAC address successfully. When I
I received my email from Papio it tells me to use 11.iptvrocket.tv. when I login to check my rocket it shows me to connect to http://11.iptvrocket.tv/. I hope I haven't forgotten anything. Sorry for the long winded post. Thank you!

Ok, I tried all the suggestions, powered router, modem, Mag254. Double checked every number, letter. Still nothing. Then I tried adding and removing '/' from server URL. Took a few back and forth and finally it worked. That was last night. Today, 3rd attempt. I think it's going to be how it works for me. Something about sat Internet. Thanks Bkman2020 and big dady for all your help!
