IPTV Newbie

Hello all i recently purchased a MAG254. I have been looking for service providers as of late, but have come across some terms that i do not understand. What is "NFPS", "IKS", "ROCKET" and so on. Also how has your experience been with IPTV. I am looking to cut the cord at the end of the year so i am doing my research now.
