How long does it typically take to fix and/or add channels? I figure there are lots of subscribers who use the service due to certain channel availability but if those channels aren't working or missing then it makes it pointless for those specific users to keep subscribing if they can't watch the channels they want.

It could take a few hours up to months... Some channels went down months ago and still aren't back, that's the way it works at this time. Always try and have s backup when using this type of service

If they come here to browse, it will be browsing the thread titles only and not so much reading the threads themselves.
That is where the importance of the titles of the threads in that Channel Issues sub-forum comes in
