just load your movies through kodi, should get surround sound then, it works for me.

Load the movie on a USB. Plug the usb in your tv online 4. Go to kodi, then video then files, open your usb then find your video and load it. If it has a 5.1 source it should say it on the screen that shows video options.

Edit: you should be able to play all formats with kodi

Yes you can get live tv through kodi using stalker client or video addon.

You won't be able to get sorround with live tv though live tv is stereo. Vod and kodi could get surround and dts
