yes I do
Hello to everybody. I'm a long time FTA hobbiest. I started many years ago with hot cards in STBs, and moved through program downloads in assorted recievers, and worked my way through Weather Forecasters, and to my current IKS service with rocket. I'm moderately decent with downloading to a computer, and uploading to a reciever. I have to tell you I am not good enough with computers to get involved with emulators. That's just a little beyond my ability. I'm telling you this, because, as you all know, IKS is going away soon. It's been a fun ride, but it's time to move on. I plan to invest in ANDROID TV or IPTV. I just don't know what will serve me, or my abilities with this hobby, the best. I can load software as needed if its just a matter of putting it on a flash drive and plugging it in to a reciever. I currently have a Dreamlink T4. I use the Make2Dream software, so I'm not totally helpless. I follow direction well, if I can print it out and read it 6 or 8 times. Based on this information, which should I look in to? My existing rocket is good for another 11 months. I've been told there is a way to transfer it from IKS to IPTV. Is this correct? What hardware do I purchase? Do I still use my dish and LNBs, or is this strictly internet based? Is there an IPTV system for people with my limited abilities. Money I have. Brains, not so much. But, I guess we all have to be that way a little, or we wouldn't be in this hobby anyway. So, in closing, first let me say thank you for any suggestions or ideas. Second, where to purchase whatever hardware is suggested to me. Third, what software to load, and how to do it.

Hi Satwatcher, welcome aboard. I would say take a read at the AVOV and MAG section. I have a MAG 254 it is very solid and there isn't a lot of setup or issues. I am in the process of getting a AVOV Viox 2. From what I can tell you get the IPTV option plus the ability to install KODI on it which is nice to have. I also have a Minix Neo H8 Plus android box I love it but there is a lot of initial setup but once you get it dialed in you can simply make a universal back up and restore to any android box.

Once again Welcome..
