My freezing began with hard wiring, I upgraded modem to Docis 3.0 which my ISP recommended and then upgraded my router to handle more MIMO throughput but that still didn't resolve all the freezing issues I had. I had to configure the QOS setup so my Vixo 2 had a high priority. Since then, freezing has been minimal but still present at high or peak times usually 5pm- 8pm local time. I suspect the servers and or the ISP they were connected to may have played a part in freezing as newer, faster servers would resolve overloaded problems arising from too many trying to connect to them. Reality is, there is no way to know for sure, you can only do or try whatever you can from your end, the rest is not within user controls.
