Former manager: 'Georges (St-Pierre) is going to come back for one fight'

Stephane Patry may not represent Georges St-Pierre anymore, but he's certain the former welterweight kingpin will return to the Octagon at least one more time.

"Georges is going to come back for one fight," Patry, St-Pierre's former manager told The MMA Hour on Monday, according to MMAFighting.com's Dave Doyle. "I can't say he's going to come back and go on a title run and do 10 fights, but I know for sure he's going to come back for one fight."

St-Pierre has never truly closed the book on his MMA career and strategically avoids using the word "retirement" during interviews. UFC president Dana White, however, isn't betting on a comeback from the pound-for-pound great, citing St-Pierre's financial comfort and lack of hunger as reasons why he won't step back into the cage. He even offered "Rush" a hometown return bout at UFC 186 in Montreal, but the offer was rebuffed.

"It's one of those things where, Georges got injured, which is something that wasn't expected, and Anderson Silva got caught with steroids, so I mean, there's a lot of things that have happened in the past few months that can change the scenario a little bit," Patry said. "But I know that Georges has the will, and he wants one more fight. He doesn't want to leave the sport with that fight with (Johny) Hendricks, I know that for a fact."
